My sales associate was in for dinner last night with his wife and we were discussing a few things about my M5C... I mentioned the steering wheel as being a part I have serious interest in, and he mentioned that the M Performance wheel would cause issues/malfunctions with the features in the Drivers Assistance Plus package that my car is spec'd with.

I live in South FL, so the steering wheel function is useless, and not a "loss" in my book.

Can anyone who has ordered the steering wheel or have it already in use with Drivers Assistance chime in and confirm? I'd like to order it ASAP and need to confirm this!

You will likely lose the ability to use Assisted Driving mode. You can still use Active Cruise control though. The touch detection sensor is the reason why it will have a malfunction. As long as you don't press the assisted driving button you won't have any check control messages or any visual indicators. If you press the button you'll have a check control message until you start the car up again.
