Enjoyed the analyses and the videos. What a lovely setting for a track. Very envious. Not sure how all this impacts 3Y/50K maintenance lucid but as I consider your sterling efforts I'm wondering how I can contain myself once I get the beast.

Lucid, have you had an opportunity yet to determine your pad ware from Limerock? Whenever you can provide an update, will be appreciated.
Thanks, vz

I still haven't had a chance to pull the pads out. XP12s are not as usable on the street as RS19 by the way. Anyway, I will report the remaining pad thickness after I pull them out...

Any pad worth tracking isn't going to be good for street use. Otherwise, it's just a compromise. That's why whatever I end up getting needs to be optiimal for the track. I don't care how they work for street use since they will never see it. Put 'em in when I get to the track, take 'em out before leaving. Once you do it a few times, you develop a system and it becomes second nature. I used to be able to change all four corners on my previous car in 30 minutes without trying.

RS19s are fine on the street if you don't mind the noise. If I have 1-2 weeks days before track days, I leave them on. XP12s are too grabby.

Lucid if you ever get a chance to change your pads at NJMP I'm recording it...lol.. I wanted to try today but my my broken 'AS* hand wont help. Oh and off the topic but I just bought a set of track wheels and planning to bring it on NJMP. Does it fit with the back seats folded? because I know you removed the back seats and I certainly dont want to do that. Thanks and see ya there~

I guess the wheels should still fit stacked upright side by side, but you'd have no rear visibility. You might be able to place them flat and use the trunk as well, but you'll probably need to stack at least 2 of them. Taking the seats out is really a 5 minute job after you do it a couple of times...

Time for you to be in a faster group!

BTW I really like XP-10's for the front. I have 2-piece Brembos and dozens of track days on the rotors and they are still going strong. Of course it is just an S2000 XP-10s have a good bite, no fade and are not too grabby.

Guys, XP12s are finally out. Fronts are at 8-9 mm depending on where you measure. That's after 4 sessions at LRP and 3 weeks of street driving, which is negligable. I don't know how thick they were when they were new. 12mm? Not bad overall, but I would not call them rotor friendly.

Thanks Lucid - Appreciate the update. I've yet to be on the track with any degree of sprited driving, and it sure looks like this car will love to go through brakes. I see that I will need to forecast and allow for a bigger pad budget

Has anyone tried the XP10's? Would they be more comparable to the RS19's? My skill level is low enough that I more or less need a better bang for the buck rather than shaving a couple tenths off of my lap times, so RS19's seem like overkill for me.

Nice driving buddy. Way to pull in that tweaked Porsche.

Boy, there was a lot of slow traffic when you first went out, but that just made things interesting I suppose.

That was one of the strangest run groups I've been in. There were some racers, instructors, and a bunch of slow drivers on the same small fast track...
