Trying to confirm, but it appears that Santa Monica sold theirs, leaving no M5 CS available for sale in the US at this time

When all M5CS are delivered, gonna be interesting to see what the market says they are worth and how long they will hold the price. Can go either way really.

Amazing, I saw a article BMW is now going to produce a limited edition M760i. Only 12 cars for $200k. It will be the last v12 in production BMW car.

Probably people for whom money is no object. Believe it or not, the premium being charged is insignificant.

My guesses are:

1. People rich enough not to care
2. People to had a chance to get it early on at MSRP, but really really regret not doing so and have taken some hard to swallow pills with how the market has become

The pattern of people I've been hearing about are buyers that are former M5 owners, E39, E60s, and even current F90 owners.
This model really does speak to rekindling nostalgia in my opinion

ok so looked at auction again, this CS has 372 miles on it... and BIN is 245k.

will do. Only 1 CS has sold at the auction, and that was october at the price of 172, with 1134 miles in Grey. Not sure if frozen or not.

Yea this one and the Pcars auction are listed on the main page. Both end soon. The Pcars one ends like an hour and ten minutes after this one. All in the next 6 hours!

3,700 miles on the car already. Probably a hard 3,700 miles at that. Strange someone would buy such a car and then dump it for only $140k. Looks fishy.

someone's probably still gonna bid 20-40k more anytime soon I'm guessing, since most don't see 3k as much, even doe like u said it's most likely all super hard driven miles

My concern would be with this part...

The seller reports that the scratch on the splitter occurred during transport from Germany.

If the damage occurred during transport why didn't the port or dealership fix/replace the splitter?

I own a logistics company with car haulers and I can say that yeah sure sometimes we might scratch cars without noticing but 100% of the time it's only been SUVs or regular sedans that look like they have a lot of clearance but actually don't, it has never been any low car because for those specifically we make sure they have no way of getting scraped, specially not a super rare car like this, but we always end up spotting the scratches when unloading the car at the destination, so the fact that it "got past" the carriers that are most likely specifically instructed to be careful with scraping the bumper, and the fact that it also "got past" the dealership on their arrival from carrier inspection, and I'm guessing the car also got a pre delivery to costumer prep/inspection and they still didn't notice is very suspicious to me, And the fact that the seller would try to cover it up as it not being him who actually did it is making me wonder if it actually has any other issues

The M5 CS seemed to be transported with other BMWs; there was a post with pictures of one getting unloaded recently. I do agree that the port would have fixed any transport related damage.
