F90 was lighter than F10 that was in general big disappointment. It was first 5 series that when came out that was worse in handling than Audi A6 that followed it. I am not so curious about 0-60. Current one could do 3s I have even seen 2.8 how much better it’ll get? 2.5? 2.6? I’d rather see improved driving experience when going around the corners and unmeasurable driving pleasure. I’d like it to become car that impresses me constantly rather than over 2.5s to 60.

Looks like a mini Cadillac "batwing".

If the G90 has it I will be interested. But as has been said the XM is not confidence inspiring. But take heart, if GM can make the CT5-V Blackwing after it seemed like they were killing the V series all together, M can find their way after a misstep too. |

Looking at the new hybrid M5 on the horizon following the disappointing XM fail, I've never been happier to have a paid off 2018 M5, purchased brand new, in my garage. 37.5k miles, fully PPFd from the start, M performance exhaust, radar and laser protection, oil cooler guard, and extended warranty through May 2025. Now with 5+ years behind the wheel as a daily, it still feels brand new and savage. Timeless, insanely capable, and soon to be nostalgic as hell.

In what ways did BMW ruin the X7 LCI?

I disagree with your opinion… I’ll just breathe normally and enjoy my new ride in a few weeks when it’s ready… lots of people also crowed that the f90 LCI ruined the m5, but it’s clearly superior to the pre-LCI in every way, soooo….

Ya, not so sure it's superior in EVERY way, but to each their own... Most to of the time, LCI updates are heavily subjective since they rarely do much in terms of actual upgrades. Just changing a few shapes or certain things here and there is fine, but that definitely doesn't make it superior. If we were talking f10 vs f90, Im sure most would agree with the argument that the f90 is superior in every way, even though that is subjective as well. But most would not dispute that. But an LCI change? The car is the same, with minor adjustments in aesthetics that may or may not please some peoples eye.

That being said, I do vastly prefer the looks and tech of the f90 lci and based on the renders of the g90 I’ll look to hold the f90 for a bit |

iDrive 8 is much better than 7 IMHO. It's different at first, then after some time in it you realize it's better. Now after I drive my wife's 2023 X7 and get into my 2023 M5, the dash looks old. The graphics, colors and clarity are much better in 8 !! The larger screen size will be a plus over time especially if they improve it by the time the G90 shows up and offer more customization than they have on the X7 now.

I don't doubt the G90 will be controversial and possibly hideous, heavier, and slower, let's hope not. I agree I'll stick with the f90 if thats the case, and maybe a different brand all together. I hope thats not the case, but time will tell. |

The F90 interior is a big reason I left BMW in 2021. Everything about my 2018 M5 was superior to my w212 E63, but I preferred that ancient interior over the M5.
At the time I also had a 2010 535i and the M's interior didn't feel like a significant upgrade. The M felt stale boring and old even though it was well built and much better quality. I was reminded of that a few weeks ago when I got a 2022 750i as a loaner. Felt like a slightly different/cleaner 535i from 10 years ago. Reminded me of why I wasn't such a huge fan of my M5's interior. BMW knew they had to do something cos their interiors were getting old and very very dated. This newer designs will soon become what everyone loves after a short while |
