Dots on iDrive Screen

Has anybody had an issue with dots on the iDrive screen that cannot be removed?

I’ve tried cleaning with a damp microfiber, Stoner’s Invisible Glass, Windex, and alcohol but the dots are not wiping off. I even checked to see if a screen protector was installed but there isn’t one. Lastly, I tried to pick at the dots with my nails but that made no difference either.

try putting some buffing compound on a microfiberpad
