Code 19302 Fuel Tank Vent Leak

Recently had the CEL come on for my 2019 M5C. Had a shop run the codes since it is no longer under warranty through BMW and they are saying it is come back as "fuel tank ventilation/purge system leak".

Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I was poking around in AOS reading all the M5 SIBs and happened to see one that might apply to you and might be under warranty still:

SIB 01 08 21

CAUSE

Over time, the Leak Diagnosis Module (NVLD) (with connected hose) component material may fail, this can create a fine leak to develop in the Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP). Should this occur, corresponding fault codes will be stored in the DME memory and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) will illuminate.

Appreciate that! I'll have to give BMW a call to see if I can bring it in then.

ChalkyM5 What was the outcome of this. I have the same issue, but apparently I have the latest software...

It seems like a widespread issue as well. That’s the codes I am getting.

I had a kink in the fuel vent valve piping causing a blockage and the code. After the piping was replaced no more codes. 110$ part.
