AJ, sounds to be another week before the changeover into 150 status. I am thinking first prodn week of for 2007, then. I hope the folks over at the Regensburg plant would've fully recovered from new year's festivities by then

... Just when I thought it wasnt possible, I am getting even more obsessive about my E92 production and delivery than I was with my E90. But atleast my E90 went into production the day after I ordered...

What was the reason of the choice of 328 vs. 335? Just financial or something else?

Gives bav something to OCD and whine about later, and something to justify 'countless small mods' in the years to come ....

Great idea, AJ can take me as a guest (free) and Al can ante up for the full M driving package while we cheer him on

Speaking off, we're on for a PC day sometime in summer 2007, right?

AJ - I see you ordered the CA after all. I think you'll be a fan. It makes having a "start button" feel like it makes more sense.

It was really down to 335 sedan or 328 coupe.

Cons against the sedan:

- There was not a color I really wanted. I was not going to do Monaco again. I keep my car outside, and it was an absolute pain to keep clean. I was not terribly pleased with the other color choices.

- Cost me an extra 2.5k

- I was going back to ugly amber reflectors in my headlights (after having euro adaptives), and I was not going to have a mod budget as large as my old one was...

- Didnt think the 335 engine was worth the extra cash. It was a true pleasure to drive, but not worth it IMO.

Pros for the coupe:

- Better styling. Car (IMO) looks pretty aggressive without any add ons (no modding really needed)

- Cool features only available on the coupe (angels for DRL's, clear headlamps and easy to get rid of amber reflector, limo lighting)

- I could get the car with all the techno gadgets I wanted (and im a gadget freak). I was tossing up the idea of CA, and probably would not have got it with the 335 sedan. I also would have had to wait a long time to get the ipod integration kit, while I will go out and get it right away with the coupe.

- I could get the color combo I wanted. I originally was looking at montego/saddle. I saw montego and saddle (on 2 different cars) and I like them individually. Together might be a different story. So I went with Space gray which I really like. That and the black interior/aluminum trim combo I love...

I figured I didnt want to have buyers remorse like I did with the nav last time around. I figured I would get CA, and just enjoy it

I was looking 335 sedan. I changed my order last minute to the 328 coupe for multiple reasons. I would enjoy the tehcno gadgets much more than I would the extra power.

The 335 sedan would have to be less optioned than the 328 coupe. Plus, I feel that my 325 has plenty of power for my needs.

I wish for you all to get your wishes...that's all. Enjoy your holidays, and remember it is really about friends and family...not buying stuff. If you have a BMW, any BMW, you're priviledged...if you have family and friends, you are blessed. And if you have your health and so do your loved ones, well then, you're more than blessed...

Also, I encourage everyone to give a donation, however small, to a worthy charity this season. Some food, a toy, a stocking stuffer for a sick child, a coat, a blanket, some money...every day is a good day for donations and for goodwill. There are so many people who just dream of warmth for the holidays, that are in such need that even dreaming of a BMW is out of reach for them. Please, don't forget that.

Happy Holidays for all, thanks for all the fun times this year.

Speaking of wish list for x-mas, if I wanted to buy a Porter Cable 7424 (or ask Santa for one), plus the various pads and whatnot that go with it, where should I buy it?

Is there some sort of "beginner's list" of stuff I should buy? All I read is orange pad this and Lake Country that. I just want a simple list -- "here are the essentials when buying your PC." I'm looking to do some swirl removal.

Scott,
I think I love you

How blessed are you now?

I'd love to add to your little moment of enlightenment, but you said it right the first time.

Have a great Holiday.
