RK Autowerks Billet Coolant Tank Install

Hey Everyone. Just posted a DIY install for anyone wanting to tackle installing the tank from RK. It is a big hefty peice of aluminum.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Great video! Your channel has been awesome learning about the M5 and adding mods to it.

How do you find it compared to the Level Performance catch pan?

Both are good options. The RK is more of a long term solution. The level catch pan will get the job done as well, but you may still need to replace the tank if it cracks.

Also depends on budget. The CCP is like 600 the RK tank is 1000 I think.

Anyone have the part number to the factory sensor? Instead of pulling the one from the factory reservoir, if I sell the car later I can just reinstall the stock coolant tank without having to damage it in order to remove the sensor as shown in the video.

Can’t order it separately as RK has stated in other threads.

What would you do with the tank if you sell the car?

Remove it and sell it for $537.24 to minimize losses selling you modified, depreciated car. $537.24 is 14 cases of Corona Extra.
