For Sale:

Highly coveted German-Made Breyton Race GTS Triple Gloss Black Powdercoated Wheels mounted and balanced with Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32 Winter Tires 245-45R19 in the front and 275-40R19 in the rear.

TPMS and Center Caps included!

Tread depth 8-9/32 for tires...still in great condition. Wheels are like new. Only a few very minor chips in finish, as seen in pics (probably won't see anything as they are very small).

Wheel width: Front 8.5", Rear 9.5". Offset: Front 30, Rear 35. Bolt pattern 5x120.

I tried taking pictures of each wheel twice from different angles to be detailed. 5mm spacers available if needed depending on what car you have.

Found out recently that the new M5 is 5x112. Previous generations are 5x120. I read that BMW changed the bolt patterns to save a couple pennies during manufacturing. The 5x120 are actually supposed to be more robust.

Anyway, still posted here in case anyone has virtually any other BMW that's not new.

I don't know about saving pennies. It literally would be pennies. Way easier things to cut pennies on a 100k plus car than the lug pattern.

They changed because it is pennies cheaper. There is no advantage to the 112, as everyone knows. In fact, if anything, it is less robust. Companies are always looking for ways to shave pennies. BMW is no different. 100K BMWs aren't any more reliable than 30K BMWs. Most of us have more issues with our 100K BMWs actually!

If you want to discuss this with forum members, best to start a dedicated non-classified thread.

Easy tiger.

GLWS. Might help to go in the classified forum that matches your "superior" lug pattern.

This isn't "my" lug nut pattern. I didn't invent it. I meant it as an authentic statement...it might be best to start a thread about why BMW changed lug nut patterns. I'm curious to hear what other people think. That said, this is coming directly from a couple SAs at dealerships that it was done to cut costs.
