Do I go to a dealer for a car lease if they dont have car in stock?

Hi

I checked the online inventory and i dont see the bmw car available at the dealer i want to visit. Should I still visit them anyway and tell them my requirements, and they can help bring it via trade or some other method?
Would I be able to negotiate if they dont have it in stock?
Would the other dealer i visited know that I had visited them (those that had it in stock)?
The dealer i visited is quoting a price i cannot afford , as the negotiation was around a number they forced me to propose.New to leasing.

Absolutely, if you need help, the Dealer is the place. They might have something not online yet, or coming tomorrow. Good luck

Don’t waste your time going to any dealer.

Here are the steps:
1 - Build car online
2 - Email your build to 3-5 local dealers
3 - Ask them to send you their best price whether you are purchasing or leasing
4 - For a lease, ask them for Residual value, selling price and money factor
5 - Compare the deals and then work with best 2 or 3 offers to finalize best price.

This is great option if you’re not into wasting time although i have never had a broker negotiate a better price than if you do the legwork yourself. Not everyone is comfortable doing that and brokers offer fair prices usually.
