… it makes no sense to me why this isn't the *only* iDrive controller. Not only does it look better, it feels far more mechanically precise and appealing.

I was about to order the 4 knob kit but it was $ 1,500!!! It will have to wait. Other mods are first. Beautiful jewelry though!

The knobs for me are close enough with the black gloss face. Reach out to Ben at RG Sport (bchen@rgsport.com)—he's A LOT cheaper for the ceramic iDrive controller by itself than that.

Pics of my freshly-installed ceramic iDrive controller and dry CF wrapped trim (for now, I only wrapped the cluster of trim around the gear level and cup holders... we'll see about the rest).

Thanks. No rubbing? Why does the rear look so aggressive with no spacers? My comp rear could fit a 12 mm easily.

Ah, I think I know why:

1. I originally had 10mm fitted; I removed them after the new springs went in because of rubbing (just as you'd guessed)
2. However, they didn't rub with stock tires; I run 295s on the rear now which is yet another reason for whatever pic you've seen to look more aggressive
3. Oddly, that same setup worked perfectly on my 2019 with no rubbing
4. When it didn't translate to the 2020, I decided to remove the spacers vs. removing the wider tire or the springs

As she stands now without the spacers, the rear stance is virtually identical to the front. Here's a pic today:

I'm looking at your pictures... does the new 2020 M5 come with the fully digital gauge cluster? I ordered my 2020 M5 a couple weeks ago and didn't think it came with this.

Yes. All 2020 M5 models come with Live Cockpit/IDrive 7... and I for one love it.
