It turns out that's very difficult to photograph.

I like what you did with the grill.

Care to elaborate on the "gobs of coding"

Sure. Here's the list. We limited the coding since some of the tweaks are known not to work on this new idrive version.

Disabled No Dazzle High Beam Assistance (option 5AP)

Deactivated the double-horn (engine running) when locking

Fixed the passenger mirror tilt angle

Close the trunk from the FOB (open only by default)

Removed the roll-up interruption for the front and back windows when the door is opened

Disabled Legal Disclaimers (Confirm and for the rear cam)

Blinking for Brake Force Display (which uses the rear fog lights when decelerating hard)

Removed the speed and distance restrictions placed on the following when the car is in motion:
- playing media content
- pairing a BT device
- consulting the built-in owner's manual
- consulting messages under Office
- screen mirroring (Android only)

Restored screen dimming control slider (didn't work)

Reduced the Blind Spot detection activation speed to 14 mph (down from the default 30 mph)

Set the seats to remember their last setting for the Heat/ function/ massage

Set the ventilated seats function to spin the fans harder for all 3 positions

Me, too--it took a while to figure everything out but it's very, very good (bugs and V1.1 glitches acknowledged).

Can you tell us more about the live cockpit, maybe even some videos? Is there any different from the a regular 3 series?

Curious as well, especially what it looks like in M Mode? Is it the same as the M8?

How’s the ride compared to stock? Did you go with wider tires? Any rubbing with spacers?

Congrats on the new ride.
Let me know if you need that painted reflector and the center grill trim.

Reflectors have never jumped out at me (somewhat ironically I suppose) but what's the grille piece you mentioned?

That black piece in between the kidney grill.

Ah, got it--I'm good on that front.

Here are a few YouTube videos to answer some of the questions related to iDrive 7:

1. iDrive 7 gauge cluster configurability
2. Driver control changes and head unit
3. Gesture control improvements
4. More on gestures ('cause I like them) and the head-unit
5. Navigation and voice assistant
6. More on navigation and voice assistant + miscellaneous

... just let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to see and I'll try and create a video demonstrating it.

Congrats!!
Looks Beautiful

I got used too mine X5 life cockpit. I wasn't sure first but now I like it.

I did decode mine LED headlights on F90, but I heard you can't do it on Laser lights.

Here in US are not fully open like in Europe

Yup. My decoding worked because my car does NOT have Laser Lights.

DG is a timeless color. Nice setup. I like how the start/stop button is still on the dash in the M5 and not mixed up with all of the others on the shift console.
