Continental DWS

Hi guys,
I'm trying to figure out a winter set up for my f90 m5c. On my old e63 I ran dws continental all year round in the stock sizes and it did fine. I want to do the same with the m5 but continental does not make the 295/35/20 but do make a 285/30/20. Does anyone see any issue with downsizing in the rear?

I personally dont see a problem downsizing in the rear, i did that in the past with my old m3 and never ran into any issues. You should do some more research before posting because there is a sticky thread with this exact question located in the main forum...

The M3 is RWD only. The F90 is xDrive and xDrive cars can be sensitive to difference in diameter between the front and the rear tires. Downsizing to 285/30/20 is 4.2% difference in diameter from the stock tire size.

I personally am going with dedicated Michelin winter tires in the stock 20" sizes.

Its disappointing to see that Continental DWS doesn't make tires for M5 Comp and no other manufacturer either. For winter setup, there's no option except Sotto's!

There's Michelins in the stock 20" size.

I think the rear tire is rated at 100 load instead of 104 and BMW or Costco won't mount it. Will that affect ride or warranty in any way if mounted through a local shop?

The rears I've ordered are 285/35/20 104W XL. The fronts are 275/35/20 102W XL.
