Last words from MAX .....NO POWER . NO POWER !!!
They can better replace his new HONDA-Spec4 engine ( if available )
Tomorrow he has to start from P18 anyway .

Thoughts about his situation ?

Grid penalties to follow??

All drivers have been warned that any no sense backing off in quali will be punished with grid drops.
Grid penalties were enacted in F3....the F1 teams were advised they will receive the same if F1 quali becomes a morning commute traffic gridlock....and what did the F1 pilots do?? They created a copy of the F3 madness....it's likely that the FIA and F1 Race Stewards assigned to this weekend will not have the courage to enact F1 grid penalties to the Q3 cars.

Let's see if the FIA follows through with their stern warning to the F1 teams.

Allowing this behavior to occur creates a massive safety concern on-track....cars going slow on-track and cars attempting to pass the gridlock to get to the front at race-speed....

Tricky one, but didn't he say the same with the older spec.
I say change all the electrics and hope for the best with the Spec 4.

Some passionate and friendly people there, and they loooove Kimi.

The latest update about the situation : MAX over revved the HONDA power source while he drove too violent over the curbs and got wheelspin .
The HONDA went in safety mode , that's why he got NO POWER anymore.
The good news is ,the engine is fine

Cool. While oh so very similar, both of yours were much more desirable...still, had both of these out today...and couldn't stop smiling.

it didnt sound like engine over revved but probably since it was quali and its all about acceleration in Monza can be.. but there is something called rev limiter and it happened during upshift.. so if it d happen on downshift and an aggressive downshift makes more sense for the engine to cut into safe mode..

is parc ferme conditions are different if a car knocks out in Q1? if so.. i smell something wicked.. Newey likes such "interpretations"..

Lap 1: VER goes off
Lap 6: VET commits an unforced error; spins; re-enters in an unsafe manner causing STR to take evasive action and spin
Lap 6:STR re-enters in an unsafe manner causing GAS to take evasive action

Some things never change....

Lap 37: LEC commits an unforced error under braking; did LEC make more than one blocking move on HAM?

Lap 37: HAM commits an unforced error under braking; BOT is not P2....did MB mis-manage HAM's tires?
Lap 51: BOT commits an unforced error under braking while P2....even the top 3 in the world are human, it appears.
