BMW Connected App Destination/Directions...

... is consistently wrong, stupidly long or misdirected and just plain awful! Compared to Google Maps, it almost always takes me on a route that is ridiculously inaccurate, but it's the only one I can get to project its map onto the nav system in the vehicle. Anyone have luck getting the nav function to show a Google Map route?

The navigation can be frustrating. You have to turn off the extra nannies like "auto reroute" or the thing will send you all around hell to bypass traffic that you know is NOT THERE. I use the nav more as a MAP and pick my own route many times. There is a tread here were someone walked you through using jailbroken phone to display pretty much any IOS app on the display.

Well I can see from the overwhelming number of replies that this is a topic of major significance to all of you but despite the lack of interest I'll post what I've learned for posterity.

Google Maps is not supported by BMW Connected App and therefore there is no way to import a Google directions search into the vehicle's navigation system. End of story. And the BMW app algorithm for providing directions sucks. Most of its searches take me on a longer and lengthier route than Google Maps.

I personally find that the native BMW Nav map/app works just for me.

there used to be a feature where you could send directions from Google maps to your car via BMW messages. is that gone?
