Has anyone leased a demo?
A local dealer has a non-Comp MY19 M5 demo with 3400 miles.
MSRP is $121K $5k discount $5k lease credit from BMWFS I am fine with the idea of a demo car (not the first time) but this seems like a sad discount on a "used" vehicle. For those that have bought demos, any idea on what I should be asking for in terms of discount? Thanks. |

you should be asking for 10-15k off msrp
shoot for 105k msrp 5k lease credit is standard for non-comp, so that doesn't apply to the 'discount' he's giving you. |

Agreed. Just talked to a dealer on the east coast who will give me 10% off on a new in-stock at base MF. These guys are "final offer" at 9% off for a call with 3400 miles on it.

An executive car could be considered a demo

Correct. This was the GM's vehicle that he was driving.
I did. He was giving me a better discount on a new in-stock unit than the local dealer was doing on this demo one with 3500 miles. |

From what I've seen, it would take a huge discount to get me to even consider buying a demo. I wanted to test drive a Z4M. Cold morning in the high 30's. SA wanted to drive it out of the parking lot and then he would pull over and let me drive. He started it, immediately headed for the parking lot exit and as soon as he hit the street he punched it. Engine was bone cold and had been running for about 8 seconds at this point. Took it right up to redline, shifted into 2nd gear, full throttle again right up to redline, 3rd gear, full throttle again. It had 30 something miles on the odometer. I promised myself right then I would never buy a demo. But, I guess if it's got a warranty and especially if you're leasing... but I would still expect a bigger discount.
