Anyone running stage 1 trans tune?

Is anyone running just the stage 1 xhp transmission tune? And any feedback? I know alot of ppl are running the stage 3 i have heard that is really aggresive compared to stock and more for draggy times, i have a carbahn stage 1 tune and just want something alittle better than stock but remains to have the oem smoothness… the only diff from oem to stage 1 is that it removes the torque limit which apparently lets u have the cars full power without the trans pulling power in oem settings

Honestly, the wife is running stage 3 on it and it sharpened up the shifts but not anything drastic. Stage 1 only removes the torque limiters so it will feel basically the same minus the weight of the money spent. Stage 2 gives slightly more aggressive shifts but nothing to write home about. Stage 3 with a few tweaks to the shift points feels right for this car.

The software changes/stages are minor tweaks for this platform. This is quite different on the F80/82 M3/4 platform as stage 3 is a stage 1 in DL 2 and a GT4 race car in DL 3. Stage 2 for the F8X platform feels like a GTS trans and stage 1 is basically stock.

What I am trying to say is go for stage 2, preferably stage 3, for the M5 as this is where you can "tighten" things up. Mind you, it is not a drastic change from stock to stage 3.

Im pretty sure there is only a stage 1 and a stage 3 for the F90

There really isn't a difference between the stages from what I've seen. The baseline for all the stages are the same, each additional stage add extra features and options. If you disable all the extra options found in stage 3, you are essentially running a stage one.

I’m not sure about for the M5, but on my 2020 M550i it made eco pro usable and the shifts in eco and comfort are much smoother (almost imperceptible) than stock. I’d recommend it for that improvement alone.
