Mark on plastic wood grain dash
Just noticed a slight mark on the plastic wood grain near the instrument cluster on my 2021 540i. The car is only 3 months old and I guess I never noticed it before. Does not feel like it's chipped. Just a small white dot. Cannot remove it with polish.
Any suggestions on how to fix? I could bring it back to the dealer and most likely they will say I damaged it. Also, don't want them to take the dash apart and create more problems. Was thinking of some kind of touch up. Thanks |

I think these are real wood by the way with a high gloss varnish type finish
Could you disguise it with a dark marker pen perhaps get a colour as close to it as possible? Just a thought |

Need a more aggressive polish...I have had good luck using Wenol, Flitz, or Autosol metal polish from a tube. Put a small amount on a cloth and rub gently. Be aware it may cause some hazing, so you may have to go back over it with a more traditional (finer) plastic polish to remove the haze. The finish on the wood is basically a thick coat of clear plastic
