Buying M5, what to look for?

Hi guys, I've decided my 10+ year old daily needs replaced and after cross shopping the M5/RS7/C63 AMG/LC500 I settled on the M5. I will be buying used, probably want to spend ideally in the 55-65 range but would go up to 75 if a deal was there. I was also wondering what year I should go for to keep depreciation to a minimum, will be keeping 5-8 years ideally driving about 10k miles a year. I was wondering what options are necessary and basically what to look for before pulling the trigger on one.

I just got a 2019 M5 Comp with 21K miles for $68K.. great condition and uses dials (which I prefer) for displaying the speed/tach, which was changed in 2020. Given it's 5 years old, depreciation should be limited however I didn't buy this car as an investment.

Am I crazy to think that the F90s could potentially retain its value when the G90 comes out and people realize the whole hybrid platform is a sham?

The F90 is the last V8 ICE ... I would like to think our cars will become highly sought after as time passes and the only options coming out the factories is the hybrid / electric crap.

I have thought about this too. It's possible that the lighter F90 with its well established powertrain will be more desirable once the only new option is a heavy, boxy hybrid. Time will tell, but I'm holding on to my 2018
