Got GTHAUS Meisterschaft Exhaust on my F90 M5. Became the God of Thunder Beast!

Since I bought my F90 M5(Non Comp), I had shopped around exhaust for almost a year.

Below was options I had been considering for a while in timely order:
- Eisenmann
- Akrapovic
- M Performance

Akrapovic and M Performance were my top picks and I watched almost all the videos on Youtube hundreds of times.

Then I ran into GTHAUS Meisterschaft which I have never heard of.
But when I heard the exhaust sound on F90 in person, all my hesitation and consideration went away.

The exhaust on their F90 was GTC full cat-back system with downpipes but it was way too loud for me. It was loud enough to hear from almost a mile radius if you rev in downtown at night.

What I got is SGT full catback system with NO downpipes.

And I am 100% happy with it. This thing is a beast!!! No other cars besides Lambo makes me jealous about exhaust sounds now.

Going through tunnel, it makes high pitch sound that reminds me of V10 E60 M5!!!

I can confidently say only Akra can be comparable to Meisterschaft.

It keeps stock M5 exhaust sound's characteristic and makes it louder and more sophisticated with way much more pops if you put on Sport+.

To help you understand, M Performance sound sits in the middle between stock and Meisterschaft.

I'm trying to post some videos and photos of the exhaust here.
But for more videos or if you have any questions, come check out my Instagram and feel free to DM and mention you saw me from Bimmerpost since I get too many spams. Happy to help!

I'm running the SGT rear section, stock midpipe/resonator with Evolution Racewerks lower pipes. Sounds great! Had Eisenmann on my F06 M6 so i wanted to try something different with the F90.

If I have a comp version. Do I need the full exhaust or only the catback?

Drones like a ... Almost no resonators which means it will drone.

The only way to make it tolerable is to drive it in higher RPM and shift manually to control the gear/RPM

Yeah I bet. On M2c the drone is insane too. Made me feel not so bad for dropping triple on the Akra.

I'm running the SGT with ER lowers and i have no drone. You think the mid pipe resonator is making that big of a difference?

It dose help, it also depends how big the exhaust resonator is.

I had Eisenmann race with none resonated mid pipes and it droned not to bad until I removed both down pipes.

It was brutally loud and it droned specially in efficient mode with low RPM driving uphill.
Switching to sport and downshifting made big improvement but was still present.

What's the purpose of those flaps inside of the exhaust tips?

No purpose, it's the design of GThaus, like a signature for their tips

I wish they change it, some customers get confused and think these are the exhaust valves

Those are stock 19-inch set I got for the winter.

There is some drone somewhere around 1700-1800 rpm. Not too bad for myself but if you have little babies or sensitive wife or passenger, it might be a little concern. There's way to go around it but I think it is inevitable with resonator delete.

But the sound itself is so amazing that I think is definitely worth trade off.

Does Akra have no drone at all even with resonator delete?

I'm no engineer but what I heard is that besides the signature design which I love, it actually has functionality. If I remember correctly, it has something to do with reducing back flow of air to make the air flow better and also has positive impact to the sound a little bit.
Imagine turning a bottle full of water upside down to let water go but with a chopstick sticking out.

That is correct, their tips are designed to have some sort of function by diverting the exhaust pressure. Theoretical with the tips but does add an interesting look

Glad to see they are using oem valves now. Had their system of my w212 e63 and loved the sound but hated their old school valves system. I would take a good 15 seconds for them to open and close

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I'm confused how you have valve control. I thought the SGT had no valves and only the GTC retained them?
