This doesn't throw any codes. Excuse my ignorance, but I just have the standard exhaust that came on the M5. Is that sport?

Is the resonator delete a big difference?

I also think the pipes are different on the
Sport exhaust not just the resonator which I deleted.

I paid $1900 for the sport exhaust and $430 for the custom x pipe.
The sound is a bit deeper at idle and much much louder at startup
In efficient mode is about the same as stock from what I remember ( mine was stick for only 2 days)
In sport plus you do hear the difference and with my sunroof open it’s night ab day. Really worth the $.
Video would be great!
Ok great it worked and I now have a YouTube account

What your account? I'm also looking for the video with a resonator delete.

No codes or engine light
The resonator Removal makes a more deeper noise
And the pops and burbles are louder
I believe it’s the cheapest way to add some life the factory exhaust

You have to ask your dealer what exhaust you have
1.There is standard
2.Sports exhaust
3. M performance exhaust that I believe is not out yet

I have chrome. So standard I guess. Resonator delete will still make a difference?

Would doing so mess with any warranties on my lease? Getting my car late next month but this is the first thing id like to change. Coming from a Ghibli Sq4 which sounds pretty mean.

I've just ordered Akrapović to come in late October/November. I believe it's so far the only option to get titan exhaust?

Anything you do to your car that causes issues will void that particular repair under warranty.
Once the lease is up, you have to weld back on the resonator. But I have never heard anyone having any issues with removing resonator and having custom x pipe.
Or you can order for a few grand mid section resonator delete x pipe from Eisenmann or other big manufacturers. What we did is 1/5 Th of the price. The new stock exhaust or sports exhaust is still not as nice as your masarati. That’s why I did the x pipe

Got it! Thats pretty much what I thought. Its a small price to pay for nicer sound and worth the risk IMO. However quieter the ROAR, Im so ready to get out of the Mas and into the M5. Cant wait!
