The funny thing is that for us europeans, the Las Vegas GP is at the same time as the Japanese GP. Both 7am sundaymorning...

BTW in one of the YT video's from tacitcalrab (that gossippy youtube F1 channel), he speculated that Brundle's gridwalk could yield some epic situations with all the US celebs
I'm not 100% a Brundle fan, but he has that attitude around him that gets him in the most hilarious situations with celebs sometimes
He just calls it how he sees it, no filter applied

Having only been to Vegas in horrifically hot times, I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around this weather forecast.

I like that it might get cold.
Especially for qualifying that might give very mixed results.
I mean none of the teams really know what to expect with those temperatures, and during qualifying it's increadibly important to get the car and tyres in that specific window.
That gives much greater differences than 'having the best car', so if now a mediocre team like Haas or Williams or Alpine just happen to get the tyres in a better window than say Mclaren or RB, it just might happen that they outqualify them.
Planning, understanding the tyres and understanding the car gets really important.
(though usually RB is also really good in that...)

Yeah crazy money for a packeage that has very little to do with motorsports.

OF course F1 has always been about big money and with liberty takeing over it'll only get more (more worse?)

23:00h is a way better time to watch a gp than at 7AM in my book so I doubt it's to accommodate European viewership (at least this european's viewership )
Well they 100% want to do the race at night time local to take advantage of the lights on the Vegas strip so I get that. But a 7pm-8pm local start would have ensured darkness while also being reasonable for east coast viewership (most heavily concentrated in the US).

The RB19 livery for Vegas. Certainly a colour scheme for gamblers which goes with the general track scheme on the kerbing and guard rails..
Writing card games on the wheel trims though is a bit OTT
https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/24877...rand-prix.html
I much prefer the Austin livery

It's the city that never sleeps. The city comes alive after 10 pm. Of course they want to host it at night - Vegas is night life.

I just have F1TV and watch it whenever I want, just like I do every other race that's at weird times. I rarely watch races live, so no big deal to me.

The weather and temps will bring a level of unpredictability that will shake things up. Quali is going to be really interesting, especially if it rains. Temps are pretty average right now, so everyone knew this is what was coming...

The RB livery for Vegas where gambling is the expected addition to the scheme.

And if you want to see Martin Brundle's gridwalk etc, you have to be ready at 5AM probably....
I really hope Brundle finds some ignorant US celeb, as he seems to like them so much , gets an awkward moment and gives his unfiltered reaction

Looks pretty good, still a lot to see form the casino's despite the spectator stands.
I hope they do some inventive things like drone or heli shots that show the car in birds eye view with the casino's behind it or so.

And I hope they maximize original footage on the sphere....
Like Max driving by the sphere, with the camera in his cockpit projected on the sphere so he can see his own steering.
Only it's not his car's steering footage, but from checo's car and he gets completely confused.....
That would be so funny, and probably the biggest challenge he had all year

I think liberty has a moral obligation to get all the seats filled.
Even community money went into this endevour (bad choice to begin with, if extra money should be brought in (...liberty is rich enough...), it should by done by the hotels etc).
The people living there had to put up with so many traffic jams etc etc, all for that the local economy florishes by this event. Empty seats means less money brought in for the local economy.
Or maybe donate empty seats to citizens by a lottery system.
