And here it's running Android auto no issues at all. My car is a 2020 M5C with a March 2020 production date.

Looks great! Seems like 2020 production dates (and some late 2019 from what I’ve seen) are having no issues with the upgrade. Congrats and enjoy it!

The first I definitely suggest is checking the connection. When I did my install I had not plugged the screen all the way and I thought it didn’t work. I checked my connection and then the problem was fixed. If that doesn’t work let me ask you is the screen powering on at all? If it not you might have a defective unit. Also in a few forums I read that some users need to code there screen first before getting a picture at all.

You have to code it. Curious, Did you read this thread at all?
But some serial numbers don’t work with all the older model M5s according to the coders.

i did not read all the pages i skipped to the last 2
and i was lucky to get the last one of these unit from the store in netherlands

any advise ?

Sorry, So I asked if you read because all pre 2020 cars need coding as they have iD6.

Has anyone succeeded in coding a screen that didn’t turn on originally on an early model g30?

I’m nervous to purchase one and then have it be a paperweight. So many reports on line of the screen just not turning on people respond with oh, you have to code it, but then no one tells you whether that was successful.

Looks brand new. But obvious signs of being installed previously. So I assume off a wrecked ‘22 or ‘23.

Many do. Just require coding. Search the thread a bit. The info is in there.
