Just bought one off the classifieds. Looking forward to a mod that is truly plug n play. Lol

Picked up one or those 7 series seat control switches so I can move the passenger seat from the driver seat. Still haven't tackled that one yet lol

will do. maybe i'll get around to that this weekend. gonna attempt to do the method that doesn't require removing the door panel. looked easy enough.

For those that did this in a 2020 did it start right away or did you have to lock the car and walk away for a bit.

Well not sure if this is a dud or what. Seller claims only certain part numbers will work with some cars which is what his coder told him. He had a 2019 and couldn't get it to work. I have a 2020 and I can't get it to power on.

If u have idrive 7 I assume it should work but if u have idrive 6 then it needs to be coded as your screen will remain off/ dark.

Well dang. I have my LCI screen coming this week. Also have a 2020. This isn't very encouraging 😭 sorry that happened man! Hope it gets figured out!

Filip confirmed for me it should lower right up with a 2020 so may just be a DOA screen. Shame.

Looks amazing! Putting aside the obvious benefits of a larger screen themselves for a minute — it just really pulls the interior together and makes it more cohesive to my eye because the proportions of everything just look better.

Agreed! I didn't think 2 inches would make a sizable impact, but it transformed the interior of the car for sure. Size matters!

I want to do the same thing on my m8 now but the screen is like 3k. Waiting for it to come down on price as it should be plug & play as well.

Just keep a look out on eBay and such. I happened to find a brand new one for 500 bucks. Had the factory wrapping/screen protector and all. Def do it!

Agree 100% — the smaller size looks out of place on such a modern and advanced car. Glad you got this this awesome install done. Enjoy it!

when? I've been hounding ebay for the last 6 months off and on and haven't seen one below $800. 2 currently both want $1000 and one of them i messaged back in July about where they get off thinking the screen with a minor blemish is worth $1000 lol.

I purchased it 11/19. I saw one from Great Britain for like 430 GBP and it was sent over the pond by royal mail followed by usps when it arrived here. It was one of those middle of the night finds. Thought I was getting scammed the entire time, but it all worked out 😅
