Or maybe you have the windows open and are stuck in traffic on a hot day with no breeze.

I have Evolution Racewerks catless secondaries and I have ZERO smell, window down, up, sitting idle, etc. My wife's sense of smell is unparalleled. She could smell it when a fly farts and even she doesn't smell anything. Even if it did smell, this alone would make it worth it.

That and I disconnected the flaps so they are always open.

P.S. Just noticed that you are in Madison, AL. I was born and raised in Huntsville.

Nice! I moved here in 2016 since there was a lot more here than in my hometown. It's blown up probably since you left depending on what year that was.

I was told (both by r33_RGSport and my installer Eurocharged) that I should expect to see around 10-15 whp and that the HP comes on the lower end of the RPM spectrum. The largest gains are to be had by doing the primaries, but since my car is an LCI that can't be tuned, I decided to just do the secondaries for a little extra power and better sound.

I don't notice the smell from secondary pipes, but some are more sensitive than others.

But even when they can smell it, it's barely noticeable and not annoying

Well not necessarily a HP number but a performance number for you.

What I have read is that downpipes gain 30-60 rwhp. That is a big range and may depend on the boost being run. Let’s say it is only 30 rwhp and you remove half the restriction by using secondaries. The gain should be about 15 rwhp. Should help the turbos spool, so maybe peak power is not the only measurement to look at. Wound be great to see some dynos but I have looked and not found back to back comparisons.

I can probably arrange that. While I'm not exactly impressed with the shop that does them, they are the only AWD dyno in this area available to the public. As you can see from this thread (https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1918583) the dyno numbers were laughable at best, but it did demonstrate how much additional power was gained from the RC on map 7. Let me give the shop a call and see if I can get the car in for another session since we already have the baseline prior to the secondaries being installed. Stay tuned...
