Thinking about trading M2CS

I might trade my m2cs next week on a M5CS.

My main concern is the seats, I'm not a small guy and those seats look super tight on the thighs, are they as uncomfortable as they look?

Seats in the m2cs are very comfortable and I've got no issues in them.

Tight compared to the M2 seats?? No, they are not, but I've only driven the OG M2. Are the CS seats different?

The M5 seats are sublime. I'm 6' and a shade under 200lbs, so about average (?) if that helps.

The seats are very comfortable and accommodating, even for people larger than average. Issue is getting in and out over that high bolster. Not terribly difficult just more of a nuisance.

Here's a thread about the carbon bucket sports seats: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1869548

Yeah i found them really uncomfortable. Was going to get an M5 CS as a daily and balked at it. I regret that but it was really tight for me (i'm 6'0" 175lb).

Seats are very comfortable. The only issue is getting in and out. Side bolster is pretty high.

Seats themselves are fine, but to get in and out of them is a PITA.

Don't trade the M2 CS for an M5 CS. Just keep both, pretty simple solution. If your back or legs hurt from the M5 CS seats on a given day and you need a break, you take the M2 CS.

I'm really hoping that the racing seats option (which is rumored) in the M4 CSL is more like the seats in the e46 M3 CSL or EU seats in the M4 GTS instead of a true racing seat. And that it can be optioned without the roll cage (also rumored).

I'd like the most comfortable seats possible for me which means no carbon bit in the center jetting in my leg.

You can buy mine if I ever sell my GTS 😂

Yes, the seats in the M5CS are different than the M5. The M5CS has the Carbon Fiber Buckets.

Once in them, they are very comfortable and supportive. But as others have said, the ingress and egress can be challenging.

Yeah those have been sold out a while but I've always found that seat to be super comfortable compared to the new buckets.

The generic recaros in an Evora GT is more comfortable for me than a Porsche bucket or the new BMW carbon seats.

The BMW seat is too restrictive for me if I'm taking a long trip, which in the CS cars is easy to do cause the cars ride so brilliantly.

How much are you getting for your M2CS for trade?

I'm a huge fat ass (5' 11", 275lbs) and the M5 CS seats are great. For other racecars, I require a Recaro Profi XL. If you're not used to a race seat, or claustrophobic, maybe it might be a problem.

I'm a huge fat ass too! I'm about the same size lol good to know. It doesn't squeeze your legs too much?

My m2c seats use to kill me but the M2CS seats have been wonderful.

Nope. They hold them "still", but no "squeeze". I'm a thunder thigh fit, but not "if I walk with a pair of corduroys they burst into flames". So if you're that size it might be a little tight. Depends on your thigh diameter.
