Does the CS tune include a bump in hp? My understanding is the increased hp with the CS and LCI is all software.

Nice! Wish my OE alcantara knee pads had stitching. ///M stitching on these would be sick too.

Not on what he’s taking about. The power output is handled on the ECU side, so it would require a FEMTO unlock first and then you “could” run the free CSL BM3 OEM map on it and get that same power if you don’t want to run their Stage1 map for a little more.

The CSL flashing that Kubax offers does however improve the torque limits/putdown on the trans, since it does flash the TCU (which isn’t locked down). The car will feel much more “alive” in terms of drivability than it does under the stock Base or Comp auto trans calibration.

I have read a lot of reviews and I haven’t come across one where someone had quantifying data(ex: dyno’d before and after). It immediately feels a lot snappier and smoother.

Appreciate that information and I agree, the car does feel much more “alive.”

It’s crap and like you said, it’s invasion of privacy… not to mention, how much data these boxes are farming from you and could easily be used to find and steal the car as well by nefarious individuals who can get their hands on the location data by either buying it or stealing it.

I know you probably didn’t want to burn bridges with your dealer, but I would have gotten a the new car and still turned them over for it. Imagine how many people have no idea about this.

How many rattling noise threads do we see each day? 😂 That’s how this guy ended up finding the box. Sheesh!
I will be sending to BMW, but that's the extent. I'd go further if the dealer was local but I'm not driving to SF for them to fix their mistake. Also 100% agree that it's horse crap to blanket install which is exactly what they did.

The manager left me a voice mail so I'll reply Monday. And I will take it into Sterling this week to remove. To your point, the sad part is if they actually attached it, I wouldn't have chased a rattle and found it.

On the plus side, finally convinced the wife to drive the car. Idk about others but there's something really attractive about a significant other driving your car assuming there's trust!

Done precisely, it absolutely transforms the car. Whilst the transmission is an impressive upgrade, it’s the handling coding that most impressed.
What an amazing guy to work with @fireorange_g82cx super professional and very helpful . Did my car 2 weeks ago and I would recommend him to anyone.

As assuming it’s not a manual 😉

Very nice. When I had the auto my wife drove it once so I went to a manual. She can’t drive a manual😉

My wife never drove my M3 in the two years I had it. She said she was too afraid to drive it.

Mine is auto (CompX) but she does want to learn manual so I'll use the S4 for that. The clutch on that isn't bad but is a full face race disc so that'll be fun for her!

Yes, sounds about right. My NJ dealer installs them on all new cars unless you opt out (which I do on ours). This one was a StarGard.

Washed her and her winter shoes and installed the summer set, along with the conservative 12mm squared Bimmec spacers. Could have gone with 15mm in the rears, but still looks good.

Edit: Wow, I don't think those hubs and calipers will be that clean for a long time!)

The paddles are a dead giveaway.

Not all wives are hopeless when there's a clutch pedal around. I taught mine on my E46, and she drove it on very rare occasion until I sold it 13 years ago. Once my breakin service was done, she gave the M3 a shot and had no issues, despite not having driven a stick in probably 14-15 years.

Mine prefers driving a manual. Of course she can also field strip and reassemble a Kalashnikov in 27 seconds, so there’s that.
