BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 79,000.00

Or Best Offer

Item Interest
Time to sell my '21 M5 competition. This car has been fantastic in every way. Very well equipped with Silverstone full merino interior, driver assist pkgs, executive package, Bowers&Wilkens, OEM carbon pro spoiler and side vents, original MSRP $126,995. Title in hand, clean car fax, currently at 36,500 miles.

This car is in great shape, ceramic coated keeps the Donington grey paint looking good and the ceramic tints keep the interior cool and protected from UV rays. Currently wearing stock size star-rated Michelin Pilot Sport4s fitted a few months ago, treads measuring as new. Always professionally detailed and dealer serviced. A bit sacrilegious, but I have never used launch control, also no tunes/modifications of any kind, never tracked.

Get in touch with any questions!

Lease expires Nov 30th, but I paid the entire lease amount up-front and I'm currently in the process of paying the residual to BMWFS and will have the FL electronic title in my name shortly. I paid for a 15k mile/yr lease, but am way under miles at 36,100.

Please get in touch with any questions!
Beautiful car, OP. I remember seeing you post on another thread some time ago that you’d be selling your car soon. Hope it goes to a good home. I love those wheels against grey M5s. Very tasteful spec. GLWS!

Could I pick your brain as to why you paid the whole lease amount up front? Like to lease and just didn’t want to deal with a payment every month? What if the car had been totaled?

Thank you, I too very much hope it goes to a good home! Love getting a glimpse of your blacked out monster from time to time 🙌

Regarding the single-pay lease… not advantageous in all situations, but there were a few reasons that all lined up for me. Paying the total cost of the leased amount saves on interest expense since I just pay interest on the residual (the “rent charge” portion of the lease), I had an m550 which I owned outright and the trade value was roughly in the ballpark of the lease amount, so I wound up paying about $20k cash, left the m550 (also a fantastic car) and off I went for 3 years of unmitigated m5 bliss with no monthly payments and relatively little out of pocket. I have gap insurance which would make me whole in the event of a total loss, but fortunately I’ve had no issues/accidents. So, in the end, it was a marginal cost reduction plus convenience of no payments that lead me to the single pay option.

Thanks for the kind words!

And thanks for letting me pick your brain. This makes a lot of sense. Love to hear that you got a great deal that way.

What’s next?!

< 6 months till lease end so no. Also pretty sure the point of paying the residual and selling the vehicle is because the owner has equity

Oh man, missed this... so, long story short, the "what's next" is currently sharing the garage with my m5. '24 x7 m60i tanzanite blue... it's no M5, but it's not bad for a 3 row SUV (plus it fits my 4 kids- it was time to acquiesce and get a 2nd vehicle that can easily transport the whole fam). I'd say it's a "beauty and beast" setup, but the m5 is both the beauty as well as the beast, so its really like the beautiful beast and the big heavy SUV

Sorry. Confused. If it’s a lease, why not just return it? Or did you previously buy it out?

I’m unable to locate the original window sticker, but i do have a copy of “warranty vehicle inquiry” which contains the same info of interest from the window sticker (msrp, all options that came with the car, etc).

Hope this helps those asking for the window sticker. If there’s some other reason people want the window sticker, I’m curious to know!

Yes, everyone always needs to be careful in the classifieds of this forum… so many dirtbags out there trying to scam. If in doubt, PM me directly, I have not, and will not, PM people about this car without first getting a PM (if you joined today/recently and have zero/minimal posts, don’t expect a response). I won’t send my number until we’ve established rapport and weeded out the nonsense.

If you could please post the user name of whoever is trying to scam you that may help others. Thanks for giving others a heads up.

Fair, but i'm brand new. I literally created an account in order to message you haha. I'm buying an M5 but if my account being too new is a deal breaker what can i do? can't go back in time!

That number is 1000% a scum bag scammer. Same person tried to claim a certain item which was not his nore much of anything. Just $150 air filter. But was absolutely relentless non stop calling when he had zero knowledge of the product. If there is anyway to blast this assholes number to the entire forum as a beads up, someone please let me know or do so yourself. Would be greatly appreciated.

For all of the newbies out there, your post count matters and PM's are unlocked after the first few. (10 I think) get out there and read some good posts on the forum! I had 10 post count the same hour I started. It isn't hard. To the OP I am not a Donnington fan, but your vehicle is SPECTACULAR! WOW does that look nice. Great price for an LCI! GLWS!
