I've seen DIY (do it yourself) headliners done in either spray, dye, or having them professionally re-finished in suede. I wouldn't recommend spray or dye unless you really know what youre doing with dye and the material you apply it to. If you dye or spray, you have to worry about fading around the edges and areas near any panels or pieces that attach into the headliner (dome light, pillars, etc. etc.). I used to have an RSX-S and they came with a grey headliner as well.. Having it re-finished in suede actually looked pretty good and I can't see why it couldn't be done in another material of your choice. Black alcantara perhaps?
