From the US Press Release:
Quote:
The standard M Sports Package for the 135i Coupe offers more performance and a striking look. Features of the M Sports Package include M Sports Suspension for higher traction and reduced body roll, 18-inch wheels with performance tires, M logo doorsill trims, an M leather sport steering wheel and an M logo footrest for the driver’s left foot. The leather appointments on the gearshift lever and handbrake, as well as the handbrake handle are finished in high-quality soft leather. The roof lining on the M Sports Package comes in Anthracite, and the interior features offered in this package are rounded off by Glacier Silver aluminium interior trim that highlights the sporting character of the cockpit. The M Sports Suspension also comes with a high-performance brake system incorporating six-piston fixed calipers on the front axle and two-piston fixed calipers at the rear.

This is the only thing about the 135i from the actual BMW NA press release on the site. Nothing about the interior bits. And the vidios dont show the M interior bits either.

M-inspired performance for the 135i Coupe
The 135i Coupe offers more performance and a striking look thanks to M-inspired
components. Features include an Aero kit for additional downforce at speed, better brake
cooling and enhanced aesthetics while the Sports Suspension offers higher traction and
reduced body roll with 18-inch wheels and performance tires. The Sports Suspension also
includes with a high-performance brake system incorporating six-piston fixed calipers on the
front and two-piston fixed calipers at the rear.

There were actually, as far as I can tell, two different versions of the US press release (one more specific, one more vague). Check this link here:

That's nice but there isn't a 2-tone look (black door panels/Carpets with beige or whatever color leather door-inserts). There's just too much beige there for me and not enough contrast. Look at the lemon pics and then look at the door panels. That's the look that people here are going after (I think).

i am seriously considering this interior ... a black or SG exterior with lemon leather and a very light tint to the windows.

it is something i've never considered before but i can't help thinking it would rock. i've always wanted either beige or black interior but this contrast looks so good to me. sigh. can't decide.

can someone educate me on the dove grey leather? (was that the name?)

Dove Grey was beautiful new and quickly degenerated into a maintenance problem and eventually never looked clean. I also found the leather to be very soft and it did not wear well (that probably had little to do with the color, though).

ah yeah. thanks. i am not a big fan of grey leather for my cars; however, if i were, i could see how that would be a very attractive shade to have.

so now i'm wondering if the color of the lemon leather in the original photo is really that white looking.

For what it's worth, I was at a BMW dealer the other day (dealing with issues other than the 1er...) and sat in a new 335i sedan which, according to the window sticker, was equipped with the "Lemon leather" interior. From my impressions it is about as white as you can get without being exactly white. It is white with a little bit of a yellow hue. I bet it would be a real pain to maintain.

ah thanks for the feedback. that's a bummer. i was hoping it was a lemony cream color ... i can't do something very close to bone white.

still interested in a 2 tone interior though.... heh i'm getting pumped and it's still what 8 months away? lol.

I have just ordered a 123d 5 door in Le Mans Blue with Lemon interior. I would not have imagined going for that colour but after having a drive in a 130i with that interior I was sold on it, and it does look just like the first pictures. I better now go and buy some leather cleaner to keep it looking that way.

anyone seriously considering lemon interior now? i am considering black on lemon but a bit scared not to be able to see it in person first.

people on the thread below insist it isn't that hard to maintain.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48696

irrespective of maintenance, i'm wondering to myself if the stark contrast would be novel and cool at first but get old after a while ... or maybe not. I go back and forth every hour it seems.

edit: assuming it is a priority 1 option. seems that people are getting mixed messages.

Lemon's definitely the interior I'd get in a 1 - no question.

Why do I keep hearing of people saying "Piano-Black Trim"? Are you guys referring to High Gloss Black or is Piano-Black a 3series trim option? (or other BMW series?)

It's High Gloss Black for the 1er - not Piano Black. I think the 'High Gloss Black' is plastic with 'Hanah Montana' sparkles embedded in it based on some closeup photos we've seen of it. I would hope the 'Piano Black' is wood with a Steinway Black Laquer finish (and I'd love that on the 1er).

I like the look of the two tone interiors like Terra and Lemon, but do they come with the standard gray BMW headliner? Does anyone know if BMW will offer a black headliner for these interiors? The "anthracite headliner" was a $500 Priority 1 option when I bought my 5 series a few years ago.
