Cost of a 135Tii ?

Anyone care to make a guess what it would cost to re-create the carrot on the stick?

Well a base, stripped 135i is gonna run you around $40k.

Factor in all the Tii additions:

Brakes: $5k
Wheels: $2k
Seats: $2k
Carbon Fiber Misc Parts(hood, mirror, interior trim, etc etc): $5k

I might have missed a few things, so my guess would be around $60 thou

Why would the brakes be $5k- what's the spec difference between the Tii brakes and the 135i 6 pots?

Well, basically stripped, with 1 or 2 options such as sport package and leather, will run you around 40k. The car with 0 options is 37k. I don't see whats so hard to understand about that.

I'll tell you whats so hard to understand:

Why would you pay for leather in a car you are going to pull the seats out of?

Or how about the sports package? You want to get better seats so you can replace them???? Or are you getting it for the steering wheel you'll be removing?

:iono:

$5k for brakes?

Please tell us, what brakes does the Tii have on it compared to the 135?

Just about everything you said makes no sense, at all, and is completely factually incorrect.

Garage List
2022 M5 CS  [10.00]
2022 BMW iX  [10.00]
There is no way in the world that the Performance Brakes will be 5k. Not even close. However, the carbon fiber parts will cost a pretty penny. The front strut bar in carbon fiber is 1k alone in the BMW Performance catalog for the old e46. To have the hood recreated would definitely be 3-5k, especially if you go for a good quality weave in the carbon fiber.

If you order a completely base 135i, 35,675 before tax, it will definitely come close to 55,000 to recreate the Tii, including having the interior redone in alcantara.

The entire BMW Performance Parts set which consists of 13 parts total will cost 15.000€ (~22.000$) in germany so you guys can expect the euro price to be in usd..

To expensive to sell at any worth while number. Hence the BMW Performance Catalog.

BMW was smart to do this way. Real smart!

They sure were Mateo. Appeal to the 'masses' with the lower price point and make the performance parts available for the enthusiast junkies; not to mention getting more out of the enthusiast while you are at it! Have to love the 'splash two with one missile' logic.

Tell us how you really feel.
I agree, BTW. :drinking:

The base 135 starts at 35k, not 37k. Screw all options and packages because they're not really needed for the Tii.

Also, I don't believe the brake upgrade is intended for the 135 because it already has the 6 piston Brembos (IIRC, there was a document posted on here that stated as much).

No. The 135Tii pictured will definetely cost close to what I said, regardless of how far off I was on base price of a 135i, or the brakes.

To have the 135Tii pictured in the official thread, you would need leather seats. Reason? The back seats on the Tii are leather. The performance catalog seats only replace the front 2 seats. Not the back ones.

Regardless, arguing about little minute details like this is just completely retarded. I'm not about to continue doing this for any longer than neccessary.

Moving on, someone else in this thread said the entire performance catalog comes to $22k. 35(BASE 135i, there ya happy)+22(performance catalog)=57k. That's without installation. And good luck getting all that crap installed for 3 thousand.

So, it appears everything I said was not really incorrect. I estimated the price of a Tii to be $60 thousand dollars. And low an behold, that's pretty damn close to the truth.

It doesn't matter how you get the right answer. As long as you get it.

Any more questions for me? You seem to like asking them.

What are you babbling about?

No one said it wouldn't be expensive.

But including leather and the sport package into your base car price was asinine, as I pointed out, as was your comment on the brakes.

Don't be all ticked off because you couldn't understand why someone wouldn't pay for leather on seats they would be ripping out of the car anyway...

I just tried to explain this. You may be right about me being wrong on the brakes, which I'll admit and not care about, but you would indeed need leather to have the exact car that is pictured in the official Tii thread.

Keep in mind, in the pictures of the Tii have leather back seats. The performance catalog seats only replace the front ones. So, being anal about it, yeah but whatever.

I'm not ticked. Take a look at your post. I think it was a little bit more threatening to me, for just about no reason besides the fact that I was wrong. You can correct people a little bit more civil than the way you did.

Whatever though. Not a big deal.

In the guide it says that they're *just* meant for the 135i..

I took the "just" as referring to the rotors only for the 135i, since it already has the 6-pot Brembos already.
