Sports Pkg for 325??
I love the wheel..........but I am not sure about sports seat and suspension....
I don't like too stiffy driving since I live in city with unpaved roads.... Will sports pkg make too harsh and stiff driving???? Also, I heard that sports seat is somewhat uncomfortable..... Is that TRUE????? |

Man, have you been misinformed. First of all the sport suspension is not that stiff. And if any company knows how to make a proper sport suspension that can hold the road and not give the occupants a JARRING ride, it IS BMW. As far as the seats go, that is the primary reason I ordered the sport package. The sport seats are a MUST! They have countless adjustments (12 way) to make the seat conform to each particular body type (including my 6' 3", 230 lbs frame). You just can't get that from the standard seats.

johnny everyone has said the sports suspension in the e90 is great at dealing with uneven roads. did a quick search and this is what people had to say:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=suspension on teh sports seats, if voltron at 6'3" says the sports seats are ok for his frame, then they should be ok for you too (unless you're even bigger ). i agree that sports seats are a must... they just make driving fast that much more fun. |

Have you ever driven a car with and without sports seats/suspension? Personally I need the sports seats since I drive my car pretty hard. They've always felt comfortable for me because they hold me tighter... it actually feels uncomfortable for me to not have that support, but that's just me. For me the sports suspension isn't a MUST since I usually swap out the stock suspension for aftermarket suspension parts. But for you if you plan on using the stock suspension and want your car to handle best, get the sports suspension.

One compromise, if you don't want to get the Sport package, is to put bigger tires on the car. When I needed new tires on my '02 325i e46, I got some serious Dunlop Performance tires and went up two sizes on the stock rims (from 205 to 225).
It made a HUGE difference in the handling of the car. Of course, there was still some body roll and my ass still slips around in the seat, but it was a decent, cheap way to split the difference. |
