Bolsters

Hi guys

I’ve done a few long trips in my M5C now and have noticed that I like the side bolsters at their maximum inflation, the seat really hugs yer ass like that
However, within a min or two, the bolsters have deflated around 50% meaning that they are no longer gripping you tightly.
Is this the same for all M5s or are mine faulty?
It’s also an issue that the memory seats don’t seem to recall the bolster position, again, is this the same for all?

Same with mine. Every time I get in I have to move the bolsters in. I don't know if it is a fault or just an egress thing. I live with it rather than asking service to look. Don't really want my seat disassembled

Yes I see your point.
Maybe you don’t have the bolsters fully inflated (not sure if they would fit anyone any other way as I am a large chap), but do you find yours deflate during a drive?

I've never noticed them deflate during a drive. But they do deflate when the car is parked so I have to move them in each time I enter and start the car. They do not save with seat memory. They may deflate during a drive but I have not noticed that. Ill pay more attention next time. Its raining for the next 5 months here in Seattle so it does not get out of the garage much this time of year.

Mine don't deflate. But the comfort access is annoying af because they have to inflate fully (and usually stop short of it) every time I get in the car. Takes the seat 30 seconds to reach the driving position.

Yep, they always need 2 presses to fully inflate. Mine stop around 60%, then you hold the button a 2nd time to fully inflate. 5 mins later they have deflated back to the 60%

I can live with it if I must, but it’s frustrating as hell on a long journey.

I wonder what the dealer would make of it, they are always keen to tell you “they are working fine”

Wow this is a silly question, but there's adjustments for the side bolsters? It's next to the regular /seat adjustments?

WTF... mine deflate when I shut the car down... and they inflate back as soon as there is ignition an I put on the seatbelt... they are part of the seat memory.

Last couple of posts make me think mine, and many others, are somewhat faulty. And to the poster who asked if they are adjustable, yes, it’s the small rectangular button that only goes left and right.

Deflates as well; not sure if it is a defect vs. working as designed. Too minor to take it back to the Dealer for...and even if I did, they would probably fuk it up or not resolve the issue.

Wasn't there a recall for bolsters on F8x M models....maybe a similar issue of losing pressure.
