F*ing Rattle SoundS!

I have 2 rattle sounds. One is coming somewhere from the radio/cd area when I accelerate hard and the other "clicking" sound is coming from the rear back left side when I go over bumps... appears to be the cup holders in the back. Anyone bring it to the dealer and got it fixed? What did they replace? Were they able to fix it? :mad:

The clicking sound may be from the B pillar where your belt leaves. If so, there is a spring washer that is supposed to fix the problem and is covered under warranty.

I have the "rear deck" rattle that i have been trying to narrow down. I think it may be coming from the plastic piece in the back seat that holds the lights. If I push on it the whole roof of the car "gives" and makes that sound. I am taking my car in soon but i have a feeling they wont be able to fix it.

I took delivery of my 325i in November, and it was fine to start with, but now 4 months and 6000km later, I have a ton of noise problems that are driving me insane. First I had the "clicking" noises from the rear deck (left, center and right) - I have no idea what it was, but I took it into the dealer and they tightened everything down and possibly stuck in some extra padding, and that problem has not been back. Since then though, I have the same sort of metallic "tick" sound coming from below the gear selector (I have steptronic), and behind the stereo. I can't tell you how frustrating these noises are - I expect better from a car of this price.

I know exactly what you mean. You wouldn't expect a car in this price range to have so many problems!

sorry to hear about all the rattling. i still have numerous rattles (and i already got a couple of them fixed). u can search for "rattles" or my posts and see what i've gone thru.
