Question about 60-130 times...

Just curious if there are any differences between 60-130 times when done w/ LC from a dead stop versus a rolling one in D3. Probably a stupid question, but my 60-130 times when using LC from a dead stop seem to be higher than when I have done them from a rolling start (eg. 50/55 MPH, D3, stomp the loud pedal). Unfortunately all of my Dragy times got deleted so I can't post anything for comparison.

It is generally slower from a stop. Could be a momentum metric or a satellite fake out metric , but rolling start 60-130 is quicker.

You'd get even quicker times if you shifted yourself and used s3

I'm assuming you shift at least 1 gear during your 60-130 if not 2, s3 shifts significantly faster than d3

I always ran my 60-130s as part of a 1/4 mile run with it in D3. This is the first time i heard that manual mode shifts faster then full auto.

can't say 100% on the f90, but that's how its been on the e60 and the f10, so would make sense its the same on f90.

Is it shifting faster or just using all the gear to reach 130 without shifting?

Right but didn't those two models have different transmissions, SMG and DCT?

But whose to say they didn't program the m8hp trans the same way? I mean think about it this way, smg and dct they could have made the top shift of D the same speed as the top shift of S but they didnt... specifically on the smg you unlocked a faster shift mode in S by disabling dsc, and that's one of the fastest shift tines in the world... and the dct, bmw states that in s3 you get the fastest shifting while in d3 the gears are just more drawn out. And I can tell you with certainty in both cases even without the top shifting speed on the smg, that the S modes shift significantly faster. For the dct specifically bmw says if you hear "clacker noises" aka loud ass bang when you shift that's normal, only happens in s3 though. Haven't had a change go extensively romp on a f90, but I can't imagine it being that hard to tike a few runs in d3 and s3 and see the difference.

No change in 60-130 times for me if i am in D3 or S3 in the M8, marginally quicker in D3 every time.

When you launch the car it shifts on its own to get the best times, i dont see why it would be different not from a launch
