can entire dash be reprogrammed, its crap

weird unclear gauges, strange shapes, what is this BSG? is it possible to reprogram to round dials with normal shaped, sized needles? computer nerds always seem to be able to hack cheaper cars, can someone do this here?

I received a survey request from BMW about my thoughts on the F90. All-in-all I love the car, but I gave them feedback on a few annoyances and this was one of them. Specifically I inquired why not provide an additional option for the instrument with the classic BMW round tach/speedo for the "Road" M-Mode.

I know it is a preference but between the two I much prefer the Pre-LCI cluster. That being said I do wish I had some kind of M-mode display.

I have a 2019 M5 Comp now, new 2022 M5 Comp delivering next week. Very sad to make the switch to the new cluster. Going to miss my pseudo dials. But prefer everything else in the LCI.

Exactly !! I really like the dials in my 2019, dreading the dash on the 23 if I order one. Wish it was iDrive 8. The new gauges are cool

The digital gauge in the LCI is the most awful setup I've ever seen.

I would prefer traditional analog gauges, but as others have mentioned…why wouldn't there atleast be a digital replication of the old school m gauge cluster.

I'm driving a 2022 loaner 530 while my M5 is in the shop and I can't believe how bad the new dash looks. It's truly awful.
Suddenly so happy to have my pre-LCI dash.
Hopefully, someone will hack it to pieces and turn it into something viewable. GLWT!

I dunno, I don't mind it. I've had cars with far worse digital gauge setups than my LCI M5C. Could it be better? Sure. The same could be said for just about everything, though. Just like any new car it takes a little getting used to.

I came from a '21 MB C63s to a '21 M5. The M5 beats the C63s in everything but the exhaust sound and the digital dash. Even low end domestic cars have better digital dash layouts and options.

its better than the audi RS mode...the damn RPM meter goes from top to bottom! wtf is that about. how does that even make sense? BMW may go counter clockwise but at least it goes up as RPM goes up! lmao

Now with that said, everything about audi's digital live cockpit is amazing in comparison. lol
