2wd cutting power

I’m experiencing a weird issue when I put the car into 2wd mode not sure if it’s designed like this… but

When the car is in 2wd and I mash the pedal from a dead stop, the car feels like it’s cutting power, the horsepower/torque gauge doesn’t even hit the 300hp mark. But when I brake boost it in rwd it lights up the tires from 1st to 3rd has anyone else experienced this? It also does this when I’m in 2nd-3rd gear and mash the pedal… sorry if this is a stupid question, but my brothers m8 doesn’t have this issue

I noticed this in mine even when in the normal 4wd mode. flooring from a stop it's definitely holding back. I didn't think to check the hp gauge. might try it and see what I get.

There is no traction control in 2wd. You are probably hitting the rev limiter.

I’ll try to get a video of what’s happening, the rpm’s don’t pass 3k for a good 1-2 seconds then it takes off with no wheel spin… my brothers m8 doesnt do that it lights up the tires from the second you take off… thats why I posted this was curious to know if it’s normal

My 2019 M5c does exactly this, haven’t found a solution as of yet but will follow here for updates! May just be the car protecting itself?

Make sure everything is in sport plus mode or the car acts like a Honda Civic.
