Looking at the concept XM's 750 hp hybrid power plant, this will most likely be the power plant for the big boys. (M5, M6, M8, X5M, X6M) I don't see them having the power as high as the XM though but we might get close to 700 hp. IMO.

Only time will tell for sure.

One landed around me, got full PPF wrap. Not my car but awesome to see the car in the flesh finally, mines coming early next year.

They didn't do the door handles, inside the rear door, so you can see the difference in paint vs matte PPF. This product is the HAUT PPF from korea.

Install looks really good, but be aware of how your PPF affects the frozen paint aka kills a bit of the depth of color! Refer to 2nd and 3rd photos for what I'm talking about. They're hoping with the ceramic coating on top of the PPF will bring more of the depth back, but this is just word to the wise, XPEL,suntek, and Stek obviously will all have different effects. Overall, the car's protected but if you're a PITA like I am, you'll do some research before you land on a brand you want to represent your paint to the fullest.

I'll take some pics of mine. I don't see that difference between the wrapped and unwrapped parts of the door jamb. I'm sure there must be brand specific differences. FYI I have the same product on 3 frozen painted bmw's

Ok just went outside to take a few pics of the junction between ppf and paint only in different light. Car getting bathed later but here you see Xpel stealth by the door sills and jambs on a dirty car…….
Pretty darn close and acceptable to me.

Maybe in different lighting? Idk. My detailer always goes w XPEL so that's good to know.

It could be the product. That's a big difference in wrap and non wrap areas. I've never seen a discrepancy this big before.

Yeah pretty wild. Detailers Domain will stick a patch of XPEL and STEK matte PPF on, see what's what. I'll try to post results when that happens when I get delivery of mine.

Zoom in a little on photo 2. The different seems to be a couple shades lighter, or "matte-r," and at that point mightaswell be a gloss green if you're going to kill the nuances of the frozen paint.

Those iPhone pics aren't the best plus on a dirty car but there is a very subtle difference which gets mitigated when you do the whole car. It doesn't make it shiny.

Was thinking about replacing the steering wheel with this…

https://ind-distribution.com/product...steering-wheel

As I plan to daily drive it, have semi-sweaty ass hands and don't want to destroy the alcantara over time. When it comes time to sell can put the stock back on. Plus that black chrome trim is honesty a little too shiny for my tastes. Wish they had carbon trim like it comes on this wheel.

I had an alcantara wheel on my M3CS for 2.5 years. About every 6-8 months I would wash it gently with warm water and dish soap using a microfiber towel. Looked brand new after each cleaning.

I plan on doing the same again as I will also be daily driving the M5.

Yes , dish soap is a good way to remove waxes (when I was doing subpar detailing myself) , makes sense when on synthetic fibers! I'll try it!! Thx.

anyone planning a racechip tune? Last thing I want is to f*ck with the car too much. Just need a little bit of oomph, planning to do dinan intake/inlets, exhaust, that's about it.
