Issue I have been having is an odd one. The roof rails seem to be coming unglued from the roof and at any speed above 75mph, slap against the roof.

This trim piece extends from the bottom of the windshield, all the way to the top of the rear glass. I have the carbon roof option if that makes a difference.

Curious to see if anyone else is having this issue. I took it to East Bay BMW in Pleasanton CA and they just put 3M tape under the clips, as if that would fix the issue...I am beyond annoyed that a $100k+ car has an issue like this.

Avoid East Bay BMW service at all costs. They have no idea what they're doing on the service side. I have been working with BMW Weatherford in Berkeley (where I purchased the car) to sort this issue. I will update everyone once this is resolved.

No issues. 1225 miles. Well, one issue. Waiting on Diff oil. LOL.

The car is great. My face hurts from smiling.

Same here, also rear door sometimes won't unlock by touching the handle. Need to use key.

Sometimes the comfort lock doesn’t lock, it make a noise like it is trying, takes 3-4 touches of the handle for the lock to actually happen.

Really annoying rattle from inside the car, dealer couldn’t find it in the 1200 service, I think I did yesterday. In the center console there is a 12V socket with a blank plug in it, the plug rattled in the socket, haven’t heard the rattle since I removed the plug.

Wife complains loudly of whiplash when I drive, the car needs better noise cancellation.

Absolutely love the car! Better then any M I ever owned. Only thing so far I need to be looked at is the interior lights one part of the door the lighting gave out and out of nowhere the car just happened to have a CEL when I turned it on this morning only 900 miles on car checked the vehicle status and All systems are ok no codes but the CEL doesn't go way.

"Better than any M I've ever owned" and "a light gave out in the first thousand miles" don't go in the same sentence together.

Lol yea I've had 3 F10's and m6gc like I said better then any M I ever owned. Just cause a CEL came on and a fuse went out in the interior lighting doesn't take away from the performance , technology and how much I love the car! When you get the newest of things you expect minor problems here and there but it's nothing that can't be fixed. Do u even got an F90 my man? Lol

BMW can not complete break in service

Bought my 2018 M5 in May and took the car in for it's break in servicing (@1200mi) this morning. The local dealer could not complete the servicing because the differential oil required in on back order from BMW Germany with NO EXPECTED DELIVERY DATE. The dealer said that it could take up to 3 weeks to get the oil....

Dealer was courteous enough to put me in a loaner but what a let a down!!!

Otherwise, the car runs great !

Drove one for the first time yesterday. Wasn't impressed by anything with the exception of the exhaust. Obviously better than an f10, more performance, but not some monumental leap like with previous M5's...

You've had 3 of the same car...? Is there something wrong with you

I hope to never own an f90 or an f10. Neither do it for me.
I'm still in the market for a '10 e60 M5 though, that search continues

There is something wrong with you hahaha
Telling me you've owned the the same car three times within the last three years? I don't get the logic in that.
*Oh, you totaled the 1st two, I got it now!

Enjoy the 528i! That was a monumental change :: ... you wouldn't know how much a difference the f10 m5 to the f90 m5 was cause you never had it

So, finally got my moonroof checked out and the diagnostics show that the car thinks it's constantly opening & closing so they ordered a new control module for it from Germany but it's stuck in customs... Not sure how this could have passed quality control since it's never worked since day 1.

I have 500 miles on the car now and will get it checked out at 1,200 miles with the first service. Love the car, everything else is working well, but Apple Car Play which has a mind of its own. Sometimes it loads just fine, other times it locks up my iPhone X, even though the phone has the latest software. The BMW UI is great, and the BMW maps blows Apple's maps away. The voice commands work great with the BMW maps. Apple's maps suck, you can't pinch and zoom like the BMW maps, and Apple Maps don't use the the whole screen.

My pedestrian sensors just failed at 186 miles.

I'm expecting brake squeak on the CP when it arrives— happens on the gtr and GT3 and they all say it's normal with HP brakes, even steel... you do get used to it....

Well they who ever they are are talking bollox.
I have never had a peep out of any of my "M" cars brakes and I've had at least 6 including 2 * M5/ 2 * F80 M3 /X6M/ M6 GC CP and this one F90 M5 with CCB.
You need to snow foam and jet wash the disks and calipers , on the CCB air blast them dry. job done NO noise.

Interesting— both dealers and mechanics said don't worry about the brake squeak for 3 very different cars. I'll try the foam and blast on one
