Plus, I'm no gamer ( I lost my ability to game after they expanded to more than 2 buttons) but my cousin is and he's a director of marketing at a top 100 company.

Showing a new car during a gaming event is cool but... that's a real damn small group of people that can afford it. Though admittedly its more affordable than the 911 GT2 RS that was revealed for Forza 7.

We need better colors for this M5 STAT. That launch edition color is pure shit. I need to see RL pictures of this thing. The front and back feels to ricer which for now I'm blaming the color.

People are vastly underestimating the gamer demographic right now...

Consider this fact: friend of mine just graduated from a computer science program at a good but not absolutely great university. Her offer from Google (1st year out of undergrad) was for $150k base and up to $30k in bonus or something in that ballpark.... thats a good first year software engineer right now. In private equity and investment banking top 1st year talent is making $130-$150 all in. Obviously in both professions comp grows quickly from there for top talent.

My point is that a significant number of software engineers are gamers (and btw TONS of finance nerds like me are serious gamers too). A not insignificant portion of the highest paying jobs in the country right now are software engineering positions. Its a new world out there y'all.... gamers got bank.

Why this company is so poor in colors? I mean, the whole BMW design team is color blind?
M5 should explode with elegant and sporty colors. It is an M5!
Heck, all M's should be fun and colorful. They represent joy and happiness....
M2 could be a new hysteria if they will open the gates to custom colors, many will pay for a different color.

I'm a gamer that usually plays video games at night after the wife and kid go to bed. I have a masters degree and my yearly income has been in the six figures since I was 28. That was over 9 years ago.

A lot of video games are essentially exercise for the brain and probably the reason I did so well in school.

You will be surprised the amount of people that look down on gamers still. The typical few bad eggs makes everyone else look bad sort of thing.

That comment above is proof enough. I pretty much ignore it. I grew up with games and gamer myself. I also know plenty of people in my life that are gamers and also do well in life.

As for the M5. I'm not a huge fan of the rear, front and side looks good however.
