Plastic Window Buttons

I've had my '22 M5C for a few weeks now and can't get over the cheap plastic window buttons. I had a '19 M5 and could swear it had metal buttons. We've had x5's and x7's that were metal. I also just had an Audi RS6 that had metal window buttons. Did they run out of metal for my car or is everyone's like this? Feels sort of out of place at this price point.

I believe the US gets plastic buttons in the M5, although I do not think they feel cheap. I was aware of this before I ordered the car.

My '19 has plastic buttons, just like every car I've ever owned or driven. Guess I'm missing out

the "metal" ones aren't really metal... its a thin film that goes over the buttons to give them an aluminum or metal appearance. Similar to Audi/VW with their ignition buttons.

My 750 had the aluminum window switches. It adds a nice feel to something you're going to be touching constantly.

With all the parts shortages be happy they aren't crank windows!
