Extended warranty redux

My 2019 M5C lease is up.
Can anyone please share details about warranty options they selected or were offered along with the costs?
My dealership is pretty bad about inflating prices at any opportunity and I'd love to have some idea of what reasonable looks like before going in to do the deal.

Are you planning to buy the car at the end of the lease?

Go with the platinum warranty from bmw directly, best chance at getting stuff covered. Secondly you can customize the time and mileage for example I chose 4 gears 100k total, you can get up to 7 years 100k total. And it's basically bumper to bumper warranty for the most part. As for pricing literally call a bunch of dealers up and bounce offers around. Generally speaking 7y 100k should be around 6-8k usd, the less time and miles the cheaper its going to be I got mine for 4500

No warranty coverage

I own my 2018 M5. It’s approaching the end of the factory warranty. I inquired at my dealership about BMW extended warranty. I was informed that BMW is not offering an extended warranty on my car. That I should check with third party warranty vendors. Has any had that happen before?

Without a warranty, the car must go as it’s had too many problems, a lot that would not be covered by a third party power train warranty. B&W speakers twice, LED lighting strips twice. Seat rail cover broken. Leather dash bubble. Low pressure fuel pump. Both charge air coolers and the front cooler. And a couple oil leaks.

Wow, I assume you did not lease the car. Those are a lot of problems, especially the oil leaks. Given the market conditions, you may want to sell.

Angry

29k miles.
And this just happened. After I posted that and brought my car home From the dealer. It sat for two days then the next time I took it out I got the drivetrain malfunction warning again. Took it strait to the dealer and dropped it off. My service advisor has been talking to me every time I brought it in about getting an M5 for himself. After the past two weeks he is reconsidering. I don’t blame him.
And to make it even more fun, with the car shortage the dealership is now using the on site enterprise rentals for loaners. I got a Toyota Corolla to drive.
