How to disable TC?

I posted this in the Whatsapp group a few nights ago. No one was able to come up with a solution. Is there any way to turn off DSC completely? Every other BMW I've had you just have to hold the DSC button for about 10 seconds and it goes off completely. With this car, after a while it just turns the DSC back on. I also tried Dyno Mode, it didn't work either.

The issue I'm having is that with DSC off, the car still cuts the power all the time. I feel like maybe what's happening is DSC keeps the car from spinning out, TC keeps the wheels from spinning too much. There doesn't appear to be a way to disable TC.

Here's an example for anyone that doesn't believe me. I was flat out here, did not lift. It does the same in 1st, even if I try power breaking it, it wont let me spin the wheels.

Random memory, but I believe that you can only disable TC in RWD mode, not AWD. Think of it as burn out mode. Could be that I am not remembering correctly.

I've been trying in RWD mode, it's still cutting the power.

RWD mode is friggen dangerous. No traction control at all. It should have two settings...with and without traction control. If you want to go with rear wheel drive (since BMW always insisted AWD is for babies) then the bastards should allow you to have the traction control on in RWD mode. It is friggen dangerous.

I've noticed the same thing in AWD sport. Cuts the power if the back end is coming out fast.

Interesting, I’ve never had that behavior. I’ve tried DSC Off on an autoX track and it didn’t cut power and will let the car spin 360 with no interference.

I suspect BMW didn’t want to tune the TC for 2WD as the end result will just be it cutting power all the time.

I'm surprised no one else has this issue. Again this morning, after installing a JB4, I did a launch, it started to spin and cut the power.

Video:

Logs:

You can see the ignition go to 0 and the throttle is cut way back. Why is my car the only one doing this? Don't most just spin and shift to 2nd right away?

You are still in 4wd mode. DSC is not traction control. DSC is designed to keep the car in the intended path based on steering input. Traction control eliminates wheel spin. Two different things.

Put the car in 2wd mode and it will spin to your heart's content. You cannot turn off TC in 4wd mode.

Understood, and obviously your car has an issue if this is happening, but you still posted a video and graphs in 4wd mode. These are useless because it is expected behavior.

Remove the JB4, then post the graphs in 2wd mode. Then you know if it is the modified chip affecting something or an actual BMW issue.

DSC off means also no traction control even on 4WD and 4WD Sport . there is an issue with your car and get it checked . mine spins all 4 wheels when DSC is off and 4WD on wet and snowy roads .

Okay, I agree its sounding more like an issue with my car. It was happening before the JB4 in 2wd mode. One of my previous posts had a video of that. In the rain it will light them up and not even move. It's only sometimes...

+1 I can spin all four.

To the OP, I notice in the video you have auto H on, turn off that auto emergency brake bs off, maybe that is causing it.

and make sure all tc is off hold the tc button for like 5 seconds.

Edit - also check your connections, ignition timing should not drop down like that.
