Looks way better than stock! Did you have the dealer install them?

1 on each side.
It is about 8 o'clock and 4 o'clock position.
They cover it with leather with a slit that looks like a "+", not an actual marking.
Ben can you pm me a price on gloss black? Also install pdf if you have it? Wondering the difficulty level. Thanks!

For me, the look was as much a part of the purchase as the desired feel. I looked at black gloss but decided it simply merged into the background and BMW at least got the color right with the stock paddles... hence the titanium-like color.

Here are the 300-level paddle installation instructions from my friend/mechanic; he's assuming this is being read by a competent wrench, i.e. they're wildly too brief for the likes of me--your mileage may vary.

1. Remove steering wheel center cover which contains the airbag
2. Unplug paddles
3. Unscrew paddles
4. Remove paddle retaining pin
5. Detach paddle from switch
6. Install new paddles in reverse order

My favorite part stems from the biblical levels of presumed skill in steps #1 and #6.

Here's another view of the titanium colored paddles installed so you can contrast and decide black vs. metal as well as a pic just unpacked.

PM'ed.
Unfortunately I don't have the installation instruction in PDF file. They don't want to distribute it.
They said it is because some companies been copying the product and using the same instruction.

I can email you what I made for F chassis though. Steps are similar.

I got to use my Titanium-colored... ok, ok, Steel paddles for the first time today. Not only does the cold touch of metal make the whole experience that much better shift-by-shift but the fact that I can reach the f#cking things now (@BMW) from virtually any hard-turn situation is a huge plus... because I find changing gear helps.

Oh, really. I thought you are so used to have others do your work.
Even driving.

I was trying to figure out why I don't like the looks of these. Then I realized that the stock paddles have a mat finish and these are glossy. Are these available in a Titanium mat finish?

We can always do custom finish, such as matte finish.

Some people have no taste.

Just kidding; I couldn't be happier with the tactile improvement and they work nicely in my cabin with the light metallic trim.

People definitely like shiny but personally I'm not a fan of it, especially inside a car. I hate having the sun reflecting off something in the car and blinding me and/or causing me to need to sit differently so I'm not blinded.

They're nowhere near that shiny. My paddles are a driving hazard--good one.

Finally got around to install the 3D design shift paddles. I like them, they’re much easier to reach than the stock ones, I like the looks and the quality. Are they worth the price tag? Probably not, but I ordered them the same day I closed the deal оn the car, I guess the euphoria contributed to this purchase
