Backseat and Seatback Protection Options

What are people using to protect their backseats and front seatbacks (kick mat) from car seats and kids? I don't like the seatback covers that have to clip around the lumbar portion of the seat. In my V I can sort of secure the bottoms on the seatbacks which are plastic. That won't be the case with the Tartufo interior.

I hear you, I used to take the kids shoes off when in the car. I found that was the best solution.

I found one option that looks like it hooks on the underside of the front seats. Can anyone with individual leather confirm that there is a lip under the seat? On my wife's X5 there is but the seats are completely different than the M5.

I bought these:

Enovoe Back Seat Protector for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P9EJGR0...p_mob_ap_share

And

Gimars 2 Packs XL 5-Layer EPE... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WGVJBXP...p_mob_ap_share

Both are light weight and cheap so I’ll just replace them every 6 to 9 months.

I have the aragon brown leather interior. Was looking for something that 1) looked as high end as the car itself 2) matched the aragon brown + black details 3) fully protected the rather sizeable rear seat bottom where toddler shoes tend to rest/scratch 4) didn't have big obvious straps that killed the look of the interior. Went with these - https://owleys.com/car-seat-protector-mat-hexy-one/ . Bought the "Car Seat Protector, Seat Back Protector Set".

They look fantastic. The set has only been on for a few rides w/ the kid so I'm not sure how well they hold up. Only minor complaint is the strap that holds the front passenger seat's backside protector to the headrest has a metal latch that ends up resting underneath the headrest. I found I had to install it with the headrest up and if/when someone put it down, the metal latch settled up underneath the bottom of the headrest. Thus…if someone put the headrest down...it'd crush the metal latch into the leather and could damage it. So, I took off the latch and had my wife sew the strap to itself, essentially - no latch needed. So far so good.

I feel kinda guilty as I’ve terrorized my kids (6 & 9 year olds) into keeping everything clean with no marks anywhere - and they’re SO good.

They get in and out of the car like I do. Feel very guilty they’ve turned into OCD gremlins. Love them!

So the cheap ones I bought actually worked once I figured out a way to do it. They have loops on the bottom, so I was able to tuck those under the bottom of the seat back pocket and loop the strap through the top of the pocket and through the loops. Now they are secure and nothing visible in the front except the head rest strap.

MY youngest would keep kicking the HVAC control and which turns sync off. I was also worried about marking up the rear console. So here is my solution:

I took some foam I had and cut out recesses for the temperature knobs. I was going to also make an insert to go into the storage slot but the foam seems secure enough as it is. I'll see if the kids knock it out of place and if so make further modifications.

Loving the ingenuity! 👊

MY girls would keep knocking the foam off by accident: "Daddy the foam came off!" so I added an insert that goes through the foam and into the cubby. That seems to hold it better:
