To be honest, never been a fan of the alpine white, but this looks absolutely amazing.
Congrats on your awesome build and return journey home. Lol.

Amazing build! Looking forward to following the future mods.

I believe BMW Parts Pros has the OEM CS hood available. They've been great when I've worked with them in the past.

How did you like the f10 compared to this? Just curios. And don't just say "this is better in every single way" because I don't doubt that

I tell myself I don't care about the LCI until I see it modded. Then I want it!

Out of curiosity, what was so bad about the GLE63? I have never had a GLE, but have had an E63s (2015) and currently have a G63 (2016) and GLS63 (2017) and absolutely love them. We also currently have a few BMW M cars so I do appreciate both companies. Great looking car BTW, pictures probably don't do the black and white contrast justice.

I didn't have the F10 for very long but I am all about ICE in a car so the better the "tech", the better it is for me. LOL - However, I did like that the F10 felt less "computerized" in terms of driving feel on the road compared to the F90.

I used to have an appreciation for the older Mercedes. My family had earlier model S classes and GLEs and I always loved the cars and how they drove.

However, I think it's the new MBUX system that I dislike. It's hard to use, hard to navigate, and the no wireless CarPlay really bugs me.

Another thing is how you can't skip songs using the steering wheel easily... I know it's a stupid function but it's just not convenient.

I paid for the extra 4D Burmeister Surround System and it did not sound good at all. I would compare the sound to be similar to that of the Harmon Kardon in our BMWs.

My biggest issue on the MB was the brakes and how they behaved. It was WAY too computerized. I could never get a good feel of how much pressure I needed to apply in certain situations. It's hard to explain as I don't know how it works exactly but it didn't feel natural like how a sports car should feel.. (I had a GLE63s). It bit hard when I needed it to, but sometimes it bit hard when I didn't and sometimes I felt like it wasn't braking enough? I wish I could explain it better and I apologize if I am saying it wrong, but it's just not natural and felt almost digital...

Other than those items above, build quality was great. No complaints there.

Sorry if I was too harsh in calling it Trash / Maybe the correct way is to say that the new MBUX is trash and not the entire vehicle.

Tagging Eddien123 since he asked the same question.

How do you like the Tahoe ? We are thinking of getting a 2022 or 2023 Tahoe. Which options are a must have and what's nice to have?
Would you buy it again; or go for something like the x7 ?

Resjudicata - I love my Tahoe man!

I was debating between an Escalade, Tahoe, Denali / Dealers wanted 20-30k over for the Escalade, lowest I found was 15k. Denali didn't have their update yet for the new cluster gauge so it felt old to me.

The Tahoe drives great.

I think must have is the air suspension, makes the ride very smooth.
The Rear Screens were dope but we don't really use them that much - I guess this depends on how often you are on the road / kids or not etc.

I got the Z71 Fully Loaded with every available package.
I think must have is the Off-Road Pack, Capability Pack (air suspension).

Hope that helps!

Yep; but happy wife, happy life. I had a QX80 with a cold air intake, throttle body, and Harropp supercharger.

You can fix power and speed; it's harder to fix the other stuff.

Long story short, I traded my X7 to get a GLE63S (was looking for something faster) and I absolutely hated it.. After a long 6 month period, I decided to trade it back in and picked up a 22' LCI Alpine White M5 Competition for my daily while also picking up a 22' Tahoe Z71 for my SUV needs.

Of course, the mod bug never really goes away.. so here we are again with another build thread..

Just a small review of cars I've had prior to this LCI F90...

MB GLE63S (absolutely trash...)

LCI vs Pre-LCI F90
Coming back into the F90, we obviously get the new headlights/taillights but the thing that I noticed most was the powerband and also the suspension. The LCI F90 feels MUCH better on the road on bumps and turns. The power for the car seems more even throughout compared to before. Build quality also feels better throughout the cabin!

Now enough of the stories and on to the actual BUILD. Ben with RG Sport in Irwindale, CA is always my go to and over the years, we have become close friends and he's the only person that I let take care of my car. HUGE shoutout to r33_RGSport !!!

Very nice and welcome back. Alpine white is my favorite "regular" BMW color. Regular meaning not individual like those frozen whatevers that look really cool.

Anyway, just curious - why do you think the AMG GLE was trash? I haven't driven one yet but was considering it for my wife/family hauler. She doesn't seem to like the X5, regardless of how hard I push for it. She currently drives a Lexus RX F-sport.
