Reason no. 99 to hate Pirellis
Not sure how many of you watch Formula 1. Today's British Grand Prix had an insane finish.
Awesome race!

Yeah, don't track your M5 on Silverstone unless you are on Michelins

One of the Williams had a tire failure on the last lap as well. They were pushing the limits to avoid a two tire stop. Guaranteed next week we will see multiple drivers on a two stop strategy.

They are not. I'm on pirellis, replaced already the rears, and plan to go to michelins once both fronts and rears are done. But so far so good, no reason to complain about them, and I was a die hard fan of the ps4s before

Not comparing Pirelli racing tires to their street tires at all here. But I just wanted to add that I only got about 8000 miles on my Pirelli and I actually went with a Continental this time around to give it a try after getting a lot of feedback from the M driving school people who are sponsored by them and decided to try them and so far they have a much better grip in wet conditions can't talk about longevity yet as I only have about 6000 miles on them so far!

Can't tell yet if they purposefully are making the tires shittier to make the races more interesting. Seems that way cuz it was way more exciting. Maybe Red Bull paid off pirelli to finally shut down AMG.

I did not notice how bad my pirellis were at 10k, I actually hydroplaned and hit a concrete wall, I say that is dangerous. My Last set of pirellis lasted 13k on a different car. Pilot sports I usually get 15k miles out of.

My 19 Comp came with Pirellis, Replaced at 12k with Michelins.
The only difference to me was that the Michelins ride is much softer-better for long trips but gave the car a LESS sporty ride. I am not sure if I will replace with Michelin’s again.

Harsh no, Firm yes.Car felt more like a sports car with the Pirelli’s. The Michelins less so. Great tire quality wise, Handles great, the ride is softer
