Nice! Really puts things into perspective having the M5 edge out the Lambo. I rented one recently on a trip to Vegas and it was absolutely uncomfortable to sit in and was very squeaky probably due to the targa top.
Id think it should be faster than 10.75 in the quarter mile though. |

Looking forward to seeing some tuned passed this season. 10.3's have been the best I have seen so far - at 135 MPH.
Quote:
The BMW ran 128 MPH - I have run 129.5 in a stock M5 CP in the fall. I am also looking forward to seeing what I can do without the PZero's (and in the MPS4's). |

New wheels came in that saves me 52lbs of unsprung weight and stickier tires will order soon. Waiting for winter to be over. Lol

Good race.
Although with all those mods, it's only trapping 128? That doesn't seem right. It's basically full bolt-on with meth injection on top. In F10 M5's this was equivalent to like 670+whp which equates to like a 133-135mph trap. |

Pretty damn impressive. Reminds me of watching the e60 vs Gallardo videos back when those came out.

Yeah I was kind of thinking an F90 shouldn't need meth injection and full bolt ons for this performance but 🤷🏾*♂️. I'd be curious to see a Hurican vs a stock CP F90

there's actually nothing impressive here. f90 fbo should be walking that car not barely "edging it out". also a nice lesson to stick with some reputable companies for performance modifications. clearly something isn't right with the parts added to the car.
i salute the huracan in this video lmao |

So the M5 jumps the gun twice, goes into limp mode once, and wins one race?
I would take the Lamborghini 100 times out of 100.

Yup. it seems this new f90 platform with the AWD has alot of keyboard warriors thinking they are unbeatbale on the street. At least that's what i'm gathering. |

That said - I’m not saying my 16+ foot, four door, 4300+ lb, family, luxury GT car is unbeatable on the street lol. Just that it runs the above numbers. That said, I have beaten a Dodge Demon with my car - twice - in a simulated street race - no prep, just like you would meet at the lights. I will also beat 9/10 Corvette C7Z06’s in a similar test - and about 95% of any stock RWD car. I say that being fortunate to own a 900 WHP C7Z. GM messed up big on the C7Z by the way. The F90 has been magazine tested quicker and faster than any stock GTR - including the NISMO. I say that being fortunate to own a 1600+ awhp GTR. I came within a tenth and 1 MPH same day same drags track of a 991.2 Turbo (not S). It would be close to if not hold a 991.1 Turbo S. And a 991.2 Turbo would beat it fairly handily to it being not a bad race depending on what it runs (10.5-10.7). And I say that being fortunate to own a 991.2 Turbo S. So - no keyboard warrioring over here. Just the facts. The F90 platform is stout. Last edited by vtknight; 03-25-2019 at 08:32 PM.. |

These races create enough math infused excitement but the daily race is won by cars like M5 which can be a daily driver and everything else when required.
M5 - winner by a long mile. |

The F90 M5 is beating a lot of far more performance-focused cars and those of us that own it are enjoying the daily drive, enjoying the wins (both first-hand and second-hand) and enjoying the buzz that comes with a shared passion. Why must you rain on that parade with no horse in the race. These aren't unproven claims--they're the factual outcome of a documented race. |

And one race, yes. Interesting what happened with the others...I would hazard a guess that the Lambo would last longer without repeated limp modes, but we don’t have the benefit of other “races”. The full video wasn’t as impressive as the link title claimed. That was my main point....and I would never pick an M5 over a Lamborghini, in any circumstance and regardless of any result. Limp mode or “win”.
