I sucked up all the track compounds except for the CCM pads.

The CCM pad compound should be a decent track compound. They are working on more.

Rotors are done, BTW.

Looks like RB is in full production on street and race pads for our cars, as well as replacement iron ring rotors. Even seems they have CCB setups for cars with existing CCBs needing replacement, and iron rotor conversions (with pads too).

I've been talking with Warren over at RB and might be trying out on of their more aggressive street/track hybrid compounds (ST600). What's interesting is that they were designed originally for CCBs but apparently also work nicely on iron rotors. If I give them a try I'll report back here.

Just finished a heavy track day with Chin at VIR on ST600 in front and XT910 in the rear. Very solid braking.

However, when I got home, I ordered the ST600 for the rears. I take the M5 down to the least intrusive DSC mode (but one above - "off" - the F90 can be a little tail happy when driven really really hard). The XT910's are great, but wear a little more than I want for one track day. The ST600's performed AWESOME on the front of the M5, and I want equal braking and low wear on the rear that I have on the front.

The RB pads are MUCH better than the stockers, for both squeal and braking.

Excellent news Shawn! Are you planning on leaving the 600s in for the street, or do you expect them to eat through the transfer layer (and beyond) at street temps?

I'll leave these on on the street as well. They squeal, but no worse than the stockers.

I used this compound on my GT-R on carbon ceramics, and metal.

It's no Hawk DTC-70, but the squeal from those is HORRIBLE.

I've been very pleased with the RacingBrake experience so far. Used a lot of their products.

You should. Unless I have all of them. If so, sorry.

Just finished VIR Audi unlimited track on ST600's front and rear. VERY reliable track pad. Initial bite is less than the track pads I'm used to (very abrasive), but these appear to have much better endurance than the track pads I'm used to.

I hope you have the same experience.

Just finished SVT Cobra event at VIR on the SAME set of pads that I used at VIR Audi unlimited event.

While the M sport pads stock on the F90 M5 are AWESOME, these are even better. The initial bite isn't quite as high, but the stopping power is very very good. And the durability can't be beat.

Somebody was at Chin at VIR with an M5 comp on steel brakes with the same color as yours. He was difficult to catch and pass, but I'm on Proxes RR's and he was on stock tires. I also think he was on stock pads. Kinda was at a disadvantage.

Bumping this - are the ST600's for carbon ceramic rotors? If so, do you guys have a recommended pad for track use on the steel setup?

My best, and most affordable, setup for the steels were RB's CCM pads used on the steel rotors.

However, a CCB user on this forum says they didn't fit his CCB rotors properly and make a lot of noise. I was happy with them on steel.

I now have a CS and will have to see how the CCB OEM pads perform.

Thanks for the quick response, Shawn! I'll give them a try, stock pads are getting on the low side.

Give a read:https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1898037

I did NOT have any of these problems with the same pads on the metal setup on my 2018.
