Thanks for the reply, I complained to the service manager who said his SA was wrong for quoting that much and charged me 2.5 hrs ($300) in the end which I thought was fair.

That sounds about right. I paid $250 to have mine installed.

While It's only been 100 miles I can report that dust is minimal and a huge improvement over the OEM pads; zero noise or squeal either. With the OEM pads my wheels were dirty after any short trip so vastly improved in this regard.

The brakes with the new pads are very responsive and bite feels OEM with zero brake fade; did several 60-0 / 100-0 stops.

Many thanks to Girard at ACG.

Tracking the F90

Has anyone used these aftermarket pads on track?

Same or better than OEM? Any issues with brake fade?

Thanks!

When I ordered mine in 2018 they were basically prototypes and they were not on their website; another forum member had his pads used as molds and put me in touch w/ ACG.

That's what u were missing.

I spent around 1300$ total (650$+125$ replacement+shipping into europe with duties and 250$ for install) to get those breakpads tested and... I can say These pads are complete trash. They're not perfect OEM fit. After placing it, my left front breakpad has "glued" in because of temperature while driving 200 km/h on highway and kept being applied by itself and vibrated whole car - looking in reverse mirror everything was just blurred. Had to stop when possible and cool it down to be able to even drive slow without heavy vibrations.

Took them back to service - they admit this particular breakpad didn't fit as good as others but they managed to put it in. I've got in touch with ACG about this and they offered me buying replacement for this axle with discount - I agred and thought the problem will be over.

Nope 2 months of waiting for breakpads to arrive in Europe and turned out they sent the rear ones. Hit them up and there's no reply for more than 30 days already.

From the product review - stoping power is less, the feeling on the brake feels not natural ( it feels heavy from begining ), it gets easily overheated. I run only black wheels and I can say the dust is not minimal - I don't see any difference in wheels being clean for longer.

So in my experience - there's no good alternative to OEM breakpads which squeak like school bus but at least fit well and don't negatively surprise you when most needed..

In my experience I wouldn't call them complete trash but I have been experiencing significant brake fade on hot days especially when applying medium-full pressure braking. Anyone else have negative brake feel? Should I try to re-bed them? The brakes also exhibit rattling/shaking similar to what I've experienced when a caliber warped or had groves... I should prob take a look at the calibers lol

I experienced this on my C63 which is why I opted not to get them. Learning to live with the noise and dust because I'd rather have good brakes when I need them, then to end up crashing.

Well you're partially right because you can stop but I could die if my wheel would just block getting me sideways on highway - but in general ifsomething is worse than OEM and the company`s customer support doesn't even exist.. I think won't risk my life anymore and use something proven and with warranties.

Sucks to hear you guys have had bad experiences with the pads.

Maybe I was lucky but my experience has not been bad .. recently they've started to make noise but it goes away with hard braking.

Well I can attest to the non existent customer service. I've sent them multiple messages in the forum and on their website with no response.

But I will admit all this influx of negative reviews out I'd no where on pads that have been around for a couple years now is concerning. Especially concerning that when the pads fail all they do is offer a discount on replacement.

I installed (December 2019) the Porterfield pads myself. No issue with the fitment of the pads in front or rear brake calibers. I have done some spirited driving and have not experienced any brake fade.

Mine have been squeaking like crazy now since winter started. Yay me! Just gave her a thorough first wash of spring. Helped a bit, but the squeal is just "less" which i full expect to get worse now. Ugh. Have about 10k miles on them.
